#digital art #illustration #artists on tumblr #art #dungeons and dragons #dnd #ttrpg #homebrew #concept art #original characters #ocs #my ocs #Fen tag #Alowin tag #Setting: Heim #I was gonna do this rendered all pretty and stuff #but i've already spent too much time fiddling with this so flats will have to do #i really wanted to get the Shields uniform down on paper #as well as two of my silly little guys #Fen is wearing the standard officer uniform that people would commonly see on the streets of Novo-Mellior #Alowin is wearing the private hire uniform since he gets assigned to Tethry after a failed attempt on his life #The private hire uniform comes with a cape meant to cover the sword at their hip during formal events.#also anyone who ends up on private hire is ribbed pretty heavily by the rest of the soldiers since #that often means they get assigned either to some arrogant noble or an important caster (like an archmage)#and with the way that Shields and casters don't get along very well you'll get bullied for babysitting one.#The Shields value their uniforms and gear very highly since to a lot of them it's the only thing of significance that they own.#Their bracers and shields (not pictured cause idk what i want to do for them yet) are tiled with flail snail shell #which allows them to both block and reflect any spells cast at them back on the caster #it's also where the name of their order comes from cause shiny #I had big plans for this piece but at the end of the day it's just a design sheet

it's a fic idea i had where jake and reader are rival assassins and they're like in this unspoken competition with one another, always trying to one up the other somehow and doing shit like stealing each other's marks. they're always bantering and insulting each other any time they cross paths, and they pretend that they hate it (and each other), but of course that's not true at all.

it's not terribly fleshed out i'm not gonna lie lol but it's an idea i had ages ago that i would love to write. someday perhaps 🙃

The doorbell rings, sharp and unexpected.

I’m not expecting any trick-or-treaters, especially not this late. But when I open the door, there he is: Nathan, standing on my porch with that cocky smirk of his, arms crossed over his broad chest.

“Trick or treat,” he says, eyes glinting with something mischievous. He’s dressed casually, a hint of costume in the half-buttoned flannel and jeans that hug him just right. I glance at him, amused at how something as simple as jeans makes him look so different, so…normal. But also irritatingly sexy somehow.

“Sorry, Nathan. I’m fresh out of candy,” I reply, feigning innocence. I tilt my head, eyeing him up and down, letting a slow smile spread across my lips. “But…I might have something else you’d like.”

He raises an eyebrow, stepping closer, his voice dropping to a low murmur. “I’m listening.”

I lean against the doorframe, letting him take in the way my nightie clings to my body. “Well, you showed up at my door in the middle of the night,” I tease, “so I think I should get to pick the treat.”

“Is that right?” he purrs, eyes darkening. “What’re you in the mood for?”

“I’m not picky as long as it’s hard candy I can suck on. Oral fixation…you know how it is.”

“You sure you’re ready for that much sugar?”

I reach out, grabbing his collar and pulling him inside. “Oh, I’m more than ready.”

...and then, naturally, we get married and live happily ever after. The end.
