And yet more questions I need to answer c: This time, I was tagged by @kitteria! Again, sorry it took me so long ;v; For this one, though, I think I’ll go Fena’dea! O:

1. What does your OC do for fun?

Oh my. Fena’dea is a very active lady so...she spars, she climbs trees, she runs, and she enjoys a good chase through the forest! 

2. What is the thing they value the most?

Keeping those she loves safe. She’d give up everything she has - including her life - if it means keeping Velahari or her parents or someone in the clan safe from harm.

3. Is there is something your OC regrets the most?

She regrets not being able to keep Velahari from becoming the Herald. The trip to the Temple was supposed to be fairly quick, but they end up staying for years trying to right everything, and she learned early on, when Velahari was still unconscious from her time in the Fade, that she’s not as good a protector as she hoped.

Hello! Sorry if you've already answered this before or have explained it before and I just can't find it. How do you pronounce Fena'dea's name? I love the fics you write with her in it and I just want to make sure I'm pronouncing her name correctly, haha. Thank you!

XDDD Okay. Though, I don’t usually treat Fena’dea as my Inquisitor, I’ll go ahead and answer ;3

5. Does your Inquisitor recruit the mages or Templars? (did they conscript or ally with the mages / did the rebuild or dissolve the Templar order?)

Growing up Dalish, Fena’dea never really learned to like templars all that much. So, it makes sense that she’d recruit the mages at Redcliffe, and she’d never disrespect them so by conscripting them. Mages are powerful and important, and so long as they help close the Breach, that’s all Fena’dea really cares - not that she’d turn a blind eye to indiscriminate killing or something. 

12. Does your Inquisitor exile the Grey Wardens or recruit them?

More than anything, Fena’dea wants to bring order back at Adamant, and once the Wardens have regained themselves, she’s willing to let them try to redeem their past transgressions. She isn’t as lenient as Velahari would be, though - if the Wardens fuck up again, she isn’t going to tolerate it. 

20. What’s their favorite location to travel to, if any?

The Forbidden Oasis. While it’s still technically part of the desert of the Western Approach, it’s not as hot with the oasis smack-dab in the middle. It’s pretty if a little labyrinthine, but Fena’dea enjoys it greatly.

☾ - sleep headcanon: To be honest, Fena’dea probably doesn’t get as much sleep as she should. When she was younger and had fewer responsibilities, she was teased about sleeping so often, but now the voices of the Well of Sorrows keep her up - or she’s worried for Velahari, or Abelas, or herself, of the future of the elves.

■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon: Fena’dea’s quarters are simultaneously orderly and messy. She could tell you where to find what you’re looking for, but you’d spend all day picking through her crap to find it.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon: While Fena’dea doesn’t really like to use a bow, she’s skilled with its use. She’s actually one of the better archers in her clan - though only Velahari really knows that.

♒ - cooking/food headcanon: Fena’dea was never formally taught how to cook, but she enjoys what little she does know. She’s sneaked down into Skyhold’s kitchens to learn from the cooks, though hardly anyone knows that.

Explanation of Vallaslin:

Despite being a hunter, Fena'dea chose the vallaslin of the Hearthkeeper Sylaise: a figure from the elven pantheon who gave much to the elves of old. In a similar fashion, Fena'dea hopes to give much to her people. She is also a more welcoming soul from the Dalish than most; she is not hostile towards humans upon sight: not unless they give her reason to be. The hearth is to be shared with anyone who seeks it, and Fena'dea would see peace between the peoples, even as she is armed and trained and prepared for combat when the need arises. 

Character Description:

She maintains a face of sarcasm and witticisms, but beneath the surface, she’s actually fairly serious. She’s protective and fierce, more focused on outcomes and the way to achieve them, and she tends to make up plans as she goes along (which is why it’s probably for the best she isn’t Inquisitor). She has a tendency to be more impulsive during dire circumstances as well. If there’s a sacrifice or something to be made, she’ll jump in head first if it’s saving someone she loves (which is precisely why she drinks from the Vir’abaelasan instead of Morrigan or Velahari). This is also what ties her in with Abelas (who, in my rendition of the story, comes to Skyhold after the events at the Temple of Mythal and attempts to help Fena’dea make sense of all she received from the Well of Sorrows).
