Although Fend had a legitimate reason, he couldn’t help but feel like a deer caught in headlights at the question. After all, it was three in the morning. “Um...I have a shift in an hour and was craving Hot Pockets?” It wasn’t a lie, considering he’d gotten a wacky shift that he was unable to trade. But he wouldn’t put it past Thackery to wonder, since he was known for cooking at odd hours. “Sorry, did I wake you?”
