something about lin lie and feng being unable to let go of each other. persisting even when they're hellbent on hating each other. "please let me help you, i don't want to hurt you" after stabbing feng's shoulder. "let's be a family again" after making lie lose consciousness from how hard he was hit. something about losing each other once and dedicating the rest of their lives to finding them again (for very different reasons now lol). lin feng has the scabbard to a sword lin lie can no longer wield. lie finds feng's face in a crowd but he's gone before he can chase after him. feng is in gansu long after lie's left. they're always a little too late to find each other but they're always going to try. or something like that

idk where the lin feng centipedes motif came from but i think itd be fun if the brothers were just constantly paralleling each other. in no worls are they the same one of them is an anteater the other is an ant one is a tiger the other is a lion etc etc

this was supposed to be a question on if feng depends on demon magic in the same way lin lie depends on fuxi but i also just think far too much. do you think lin lie meant to aim for fengs heart or if his hands were too shaky that he miscalculated the stab wound or if lin feng could also experience the memories kept within the sword. or whatever. not like i care. i need to finish my research paper on anxiety

lin lie gets blipped to the past and when he meets 18 year old lin feng he has all the makings of the man he knows feng's going to become and lie can't do anything to prevent it unless he wants the possibility of never reuniting with his brother at all so he just comes to terms with something that hasn't happened yet and hopes his presence is enough to make the future change

lin feng experiences the same thing but he sees the 14 year old he's known for the better part of his life and he sticks around for too long. he has no desire to mould younger lie into a subject or anything because that would mean something was wrong with his little brother and nothing should ever be wrong with him so he just stares at him and wonders if this is really who their ancestors chose, if lin lie deserved it

#i dont know. this was a comic idea but i cant draw right now #i think lin feng pins everything that went wrong with their relationship on the fact that he wasn't there #the idea that lin lie can't do anything without him because in feng's eyes he's still just a kid so the fact that he Can Now infuriates him #feng wondering if lin lie even bothered to look for him and letting that idea kill any bit of love for the guy since then. do you get it #and it's not until year 2 or 5 that his ambition begins turning into hate and bitterness like Why did they choose him Why hasnt he found me #lieblogging #fengblogging #marvelblogging

i think lin feng is guided by what chiyou's been whispering in his ear for the past several years but i also think this is his version of revenge on lin lie. i spent years searching for you and you repay me by replacing me and disgracing our legacy and whatnot

i don't know I've always viewed him as a puppet of sorts. he lets his hate fester enough that he's easily manipulated for it, originally it's all chiyou but eventually he takes ownership of it. "i free the tomb because i want to. i made a deal with loki because i wanted to. i harm my brother because i need to. because he has what i want." like it's all still very much chiyou's wishes but he's so stubborn he refuses to believe he's not acting out of free will. that's how i see him at least
