The Strange and Ghastly monument on Ming Mountain, China is actually city!
Ever seen hell? What about the Chinese version of it? Confused? The answer lies within the walls of the strange monument on the Ming mountain. The Fengdu Ghost City is modeled after the Chinese version of hell, so as to speak. The spectacular city is devoted to afterlife. Itś already sounding interesting, isn´t it? The Chinese Ghost culture is quite famous and visitors actually have labled this monumental city as one of the most fascinating representations of it.
As you tour the interiors, you will find ghastly sculptures and paintings of people being tortured for all their sins inside the shrines. Itś unique history of ghosts are well-known from the time of the Eastern han Dynasty.
The myth is this that 2 officials named Wang and Yin moved to Mt. Minshan during the Han Dynasty,in order to attain enlightenment. The sirnames of this pair combine to sound like ¨King of Hell"in Chinese. No wonder, locals have tagged this place as the monument where spirits gather. As a matter of fact, you will also find landmarks named as ¨Ghost Torturing Pass¨, “Last Glance at Home Tower” etc. Many more engaging horror mysteries await you!
