Again, I was asked how I made my landscapes. I admit that I’m not an expert, and I have a long way to go, but the basic bits are that I followed Feng Zhu’s tutorial here

What’s your visual library?

I just watched a suggested video taken from the week 2 lecture on ‘visual library’ number 52 by Feng Zhu.

Based on the video I discovered that when it comes to design, I’m not cool.

At first I thought it was quite funny, that is until I thought about it and realised my visual library is limited even though I have lots of world experience. 

This made me feel a bit sad that perhaps I have not paid enough attention to the world around me.

If you are thinking of watching the video, before you do, draw your version of an ant! Seriously, take a piece of paper and quickly draw an ant, then watch the video and see where you think you fit.

As an older student, never mind exactly how old, it is quite sad that this video made me feel like it’s all a bit too late, that it’s too late to go back and rebuild what once you had the chance but missed it.

I have travelled extensively, been to museums, seen lots of nature, but how much did I recall for my visual library? Hmmm.

I guess either my memory is not so great or, I just did things in a blur without really paying attention, what a waste. 

One thing I did get out of this video is not just to recall the moment but try and recall the detail so it can be applied elsewhere. So, if you are reading this and young enough, don’t wait until you have a list of regrets and feel like I do.

I am hoping I can work on my visual library and that it’s not as late as I think.

Tumblr Meetup 2015!!

I didn't expect the turnout to be so high for this event that didn't even have a set time xD I had a lot of fun, and transfered my bb priest to shepiu 's guild Sheeps. I hope everyone that came had a super fun time like I did, and that we have even more people next year, with even more fun!
