My friend had his whole flock of chickens killed by a fox. The pest returned into the pen and even dared to sleep in it so his dog ran out and crunched it's skull. It was dead within 2 bites but holy shit dogs are better at fighting/holding other predetors then anyone thinks
Yeah, that’s why I leave Billy out. I’ve heard horror stories of foxes, weasels, and even other dogs going in and killing whole flocks of animals. Billy isn’t going to be able to do much against another dog (unless it’s beagle sized like him), but he will be sure to at least alert us to the problem. Mostly around here though it’s foxes, raccoons, skunks, and the occasional weasel we have to deal with. The bigger animals have so far stayed away.
