The annual Duck Fair is here! Sans park and several nearby squares have been decorated and transformed into the funnest event over the summer. Several rides like a ferris wheel, swings, bumper cars, and rollercoasters are set up in the park itself, with food stalls and games leading out in every directions. Stalls where local artisans sell their wears are set up in the squares, with more local food being made and sold to hungry fair-goers.
OOC: My favourite event is back! Every year we celebrate the Duck Fair, the annual fair that takes over Fenrir's Wood for a little over a week ( 8 days ) and comes with a lot o explore and a lot to do. THE BEST time for local businesses and it happens to be good weather too (if you have a character who owns a business and would like to put up a stall, reach out and I'll add it to the list)! Check out the list under the read more for some specific things to use in your threads!
MOONSHINE is offering quality vegan food for everyone at the food stalls!
CHILDREN'S DUCK POND LIBRARY has a series of duck stories that will be read on picnic blankets near the Duck Pond.
COFFEEKANTEEN is selling a special banana flavoured milkshake and banana pancakes that are extremely yellow. They also have a little stand at the Fair.
The GRANT PARK BOTANICAL GARDENS is open to the public well into the early evening, closing its doors at 11pm instead of 6pm. So come for a nice walk in the moonlight and maybe discover some new bugs you haven't seen before.
As regular, THE LITTLE DUCK, THE MEAN DUCK, and THE DUCK WHO CAME THE FURTHEST are all three selling drinks in Sans Park, once again prevented from standing right next to each other.
SPICE GARDEN BUFFET and THE NOODLE BAR among other restaurants in the city are selling food at Sans Park.
Be aware that ducks may roam the area freely and don't try to grab them! If you do want to pet a duck, head over the DUCK POND for a possibility to gently give a pat to one of the squackers.

As with any other full moon, witches, Werewolves, and associated Humans all started preparing a few days before the full moon, this one was said to always make the Werewolves a little more on edge. With the Children of Loki defeated however, nobody seemed too worried that anything too weird would happen again.
If only they could've prepared for what was about to happen.
Local research student BEATRICE EDGAR was drawn to the woods during the full moon after having heard rumours of a special rose said to bloom only a few nights a year. She could not afterwards explain how, but she was quick to find it. Her delicate fingers barely touched the flower, but when they did, a shock when through her, and she fell back in a dreamy state.
The shock was felt all throughout the Lords Wood and Fenrir's Wood, and every Witch was instantly aware that some spell had been broken, as if all the trees in the woods let out a collective grown. The spell that protected the city from Werewolves had been broken, they were now free to roam the streets for the first time in many moons.
ooc: Time for something a little different! This event will begin on Discord, with an interactive thread opening on the 12th of July that will last a full week. Participation is not mandatory! You can use the secrets chats and market place to plot beforehand what your characters might be up to during the Full Moon. Beforehand there will be a few plot drops that will be posted on the main that members can use for their threads if they want. The Discord chat will close on Friday the 19th of July, afterwards members are free to continue threads or start new one for the event on the dash!

It's Pride!
And in Fenrir's Wood too it's celebrated with great enthusiasm. Several businesses around the city are participating in pride themed events throughout June, but especially in the weekend of the 21st of June till the 23rd, when the Pride Parade is scheduled.
The Council is not too happy with the first day of the event being on the June Full Moon, but they've managed to up security on the Friday. Do not be surprised however if you see some rather tired looking individuals dragging themselves out into the streets despite not having slept a wink.
ooc; our third full moon event is live! Unlike the past two, this one will last a full three weeks and will include an Ask Meme-A-Weekend, and a Task. Below are some businesses participating, but feel free to make up your own things as well!

COFFEEKANTEEN is serving coffee and other hot beverages in flag-themed cups. Every cup costs 0.15 cents extra, and all money made through the sales will go to support local LGBTQ+ initiatives.
Pete Corbyn at DIRTY PETE is celebrating his marriage to his husband with a special menu option called Husband Pete: a burger and fries menu with a special pink sauce ( most say it's whiskey cocktail ) and a little rainbow flag sticking out of the burger. Halal, vegetarian, and vegan options also available.
DULANT COLLEGE is organising an artistic evening, LGBTQ+ students are displaying their talents and inviting everyone to the school's courtyard for drinks, food, and music.
GRANT PARK is of course once again organising a festival, forty different musical acts will preform on three different stages over the course of a three-day period. Entry is free, but no outside food or drink is allowed on the premises.
GOOD DUCK ART GALLERY is marking the weekend of the 22nd of June to change its collection; art by prominent local artists and LGBTQ+ artists from over the world are being displayed. As well as a small exhibition made by kids from four local schools about what acceptance means to them.
JOLLYBOLLY has cleared out the back and doubles as a cinema this weekend, showing six UK movies:
On Friday the 21st: PRIDE (2014) and BEAUTIFUL THING (1996)
On Saturday the 22nd: WEEKEND (2011) and CAROL (2015)
On Sunday the 23rd: EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE (2021), THE FAVOURITE (2018)

The flower moon rolls around with very little strange effects on Witches and Werewolves, though for Witches who have been practicing the craft for a long time, they know any gift given to the spirits over the full moon will be welcomed even more, as the spirits, like people, tend to embrace the summer happily in the Northern Hemisphere.
Meanwhile in Fenrir's Wood, going through the Full Moon without any difficulty, the summer is rolling around, and after a few days of sun and temperatures that make it so nobody needs a jacket, the city has decided to reopen the beach front at the river ahead of schedule: the place has been renewed and cleaned in small steps after the murder last summer. To commemorate this grand occasion, the beach front is filled with activity from the 23rd of May till the 26th of May. Read all about what to do around the renovated area below!
ooc; our second full moon event is live! The mayor and government of Fenrir's Wood is doing everything it can think of promote the city and be less associate with the murders that happened the last two years. Plus the sun is shining and it's a nice 20-25 degrees during the day with barely a cloud in the sky! Though rain is being predicted for Sunday afternoon, so bring your raincoats just in case!
The following activities are held at the beach front over the weekend, but feel free to think of your own as well!
MINI DUCK FAIR ; with the big Duck Fair coming in July/August, some have decided to already do a small version of it: there are stands with local made products, a few fun attractions like a bumper cart lane, kid bungee jumping, and a mini gold parkour for all ages.
TAKE A DIVE ; a new business is set up at the beach front called 'take a dive' they sell equipment for rowing, diving, water boarding, and beach volley-ball. Be warned divers, you likely won't be able to see much in the dark waters of this river, but who knows: maybe you'll find some old Viking boats!
BAR CRAWL BEACH-EDITION ; the local bars too have taken it upon themselves to do business at the beach front, along the Western strip towards the Lords Woods there are several stands that sell beer, cocktails, and mocktails. There is a heated area with picnic tables for those who want to stay out past sunset (which is around 9 pm, long live the summer!)
FOOD CRAWL BEACH-EDITION ; much like the bar-crawl, local restaurants too have set up shop along the Western side and are selling food a plenty. You can find popular places like Döner Duck, Wolf Burger, Patos Patos, and others here.
KID DUCK POOL ; along sick the beach - aka the river bend that looks like a beach but the water is kind of murky - there is a small outdoor pool constructed for kids ages 0-10. A special lifeguard is present to watch after the kids.
RIVERSIDE TALENT SHOW ; the Drag & Queen Club (also known as the DRaQ) is hosting an open-air talent show on the Eastern side of the beach front on Saturday afternoon. Everyone can join in, though all acts must be kid-friendly.
THE VOLLEY & BEACH BALL TOURNAMENT ; more into ball sports: the local gym is holding two tournaments, Volleyball on Friday and Beachball on Saturday. The prize is a year long membership to the gym for free, you can sign in through the Gym's official website. Volleyball teams need to be 3 people, Beachball teams 5.
THE REMEMBERANCE REVEAL ; it isn't all fun and games at the beach front this weekend, Sunday evening, when it's set to rain, the monument in honour of the ten who were murdered the year before at the beach front is revealed to the public. It will most likely be a sober event with several speeches from family members and friends who have lost loved ones.

It is a love moon tonight, the moon itself shining a pink light, and its having a curious effect upon the hairy supernatural residents of Fenrir’s Wood. There is much more “coupling” going on in the forest, and even before, romantic and otherwise lustful feelings are far more prominent throughout the full moon and the two days leading up to it.
For Witches, the Pink moon is the perfect opportunity to set up some love rituals. Planning to woo a friend but not sure if they love you back; this would be the night to find out!
Meanwhile, local art show organiser and resident artist at Good Duck Art Gallery, Ezhilarasan Bharath, is setting up his own little love scheme; several local bands and artists are invited to play at the venue, with The Forgotten as the main and closing act, on the evening of the Full Moon. Once Micah Cole Weber hold the microphone however, there clearly is a shift in the atmosphere. When Micah plays his song ( listen ), the crowd feels the emotions. The feelings so intense they want to act on it: call up someone they love, vocalise their feelings for them, be close to them, whether it's platonic or romantic. It is shaping up to be an interesting Pink Moon.
ooc; our first Full Moon event since the revamp! Participation is never mandatory. The affect of the full moon on witches and werewolves also happens the two days before the full moon, so you're welcome to start threads outside of the event for that. The song played at the gallery has affect on anyone at the venue and close by, and takes place several hours before the Full Moon.
The secret discord chats can be used to plan things out, or plot what your character might be up to.

The weather has not been favourable for the citizens of Fenrir's Wood to really feel Spring coming, but there is still hope that at least one of the Easter days (the 30th of March and the 1st of April) the sun will be shining. Especially since every Easter Fenrir's Wood is booming with activity: there are egg-finding events hosted by schools in the park (open to all), family friendly picnics, the book market at the local Library at Harbour, and hiking excursions up the Trail of Sikkerhet.
Meanwhile the Witches of Fenrir's Wood are celebrating the Spring Equinox later than planned given everything that happened on the Full Moon. Aside from their usual cleansing rituals in the Lord's Wood, many of them create ornaments and artworks to place along the Trail of Sikkerhet.
A list of specific events below the read more!
the Duck Book Fair; hosted by the Library at Harbour. Here people can bring their own books to sell while the Library pawns off some of its collection. The perfect spot for second hand book lovers. The cafe at the Library is open for those who want to have some cake or coffee in between reading and hunting.
the Grant Park Picnic; hosted in Grant Park. While you can bring your own food and blankets, the organisers of the Picnic also have food and blankets you can borrow!
EGG-celent; hosted in Fenway Park. This huge park (more of a forest really) is home to the biggest egg hunting race in Fenrir's Wood, held on the 31st of March. Real eggs are being used!
Picnics with ducks; hosted at the Duck Pond. Already a famed location to have picnics in, on the 1st of April local pet shops are selling duck feed so the ducks can also enjoy the picnic.
Fenrir Egg race; hosted at the Fenrir University. While the school is closed for a week to celebrate Easter, the doors open on the 1st of April for the joke-riddled Egg race. Find as many as eggs possible while avoiding stepping into traps created by the students. An egg hunting competition for true daredevils.
The Duck Waltz; hosted by Horizon Dance Studios. On the 30th of March, the Horizon Dance Studios hosts small classes for kids age 5 to 14 to learn how to do the Duck Waltz, which they will later preform in front of the studio.
Easter Brunch; hosted at Jollybolly. An easter brunch paid for by the city for families and singles who don't have as much money to spend. Tickets (free ones) have been sold out, but there is always room for late comers.
Non-Egg Brunch; hosted at Moonshine. For the Vegans. A special brunch menu for those who are looking to go Vegan for Easter.
Easter Iftar; hosted by Dorya Grill. With Easter and the Ramadan at the same time, the Dorya Grill is offering a special Easter themed Iftar, for families and friends who want to combine the holidays, the whole Easter weekend. In case of good weather, there is also room to sit outside.
Döner Duck's Egg-shaped Pizza special; hosted by Döner Duck. Last year they surprised the neighbourhood with the duck pizza (a pizza salami with salami in the shape of ducks), this year they have three special egg-shaped pizza's: meat, veggie, and vegan.
Hiking the Trail; at the Trail of Sikkerhet. If the weather is good, there is no trail more beautiful than the Trail of Sikkerhet to walk. Especially with locals having decorated trees along the path with ornaments and trinkets. Walk all the way up the mountain to Brann's Peak or take a look at the lower hill and visit the Shrine of Måne.
