fire emblem echoes really has one of the funniest villain introductions in the series. like you have a really dramatic cutscene where a guy walks in on two people dancing. and then .5 seconds later he and the other guy start talking abt how much they HATE poor people.

I think vulneraries/elixirs and heal staves/spells are so funny in fire emblem fanfiction because they can easily heal a unit back up to full HP in the games, but in fanfic they never actually do that, because it takes all the stakes out of stories that involve injury and the risk of death to a character, leading to an amusing situation where one aspect of the game's mechanics is always ignored in fanfic for the sake of dramatic tension
