There are so many soft benrius moments. I’m gonna make a list (just off the top of my head) because we really were blessed with boys in love content.
Darius respecting Ben’s fear and not asking him to go on top of the monorail. Ben realizing this and going without making a big deal of it.
Darius being the only one to try to save Ben before he fell off the monorail.
The reunion hug, where Darius throws himself in Ben’s arms and Ben tucks his face against Darius’ neck.
How Ben doesn’t blame Darius for not being able to hold on.
Darius affectionately calling Ben a beautiful and disturbing boy.
Darius knowing that there was something upsetting Ben and asking about it when everyone else didn’t notice.
Their whole fight being about how Darius feels like leaving Ben is abandoning him. How when he says that, Ben’s hand wavers and his face goes soft.
“We blew up a gondola together! Doesn’t that mean anything to you?” “I blow stuff up all the time. You aren’t special.”
Ben referring to their fight as “working through some stuff” while comforting Bumpy like he and Darius are parents having a spat.
Ben telling Darius he loves him and acknowledging that Darius always takes care of him. “We make quite a pair.”

Darius accepting that Ben needed to come to his decision about whether he stayed or left the island in his own time but still gripping the railing and whispering “come on” under his breath because he hoped Ben would choose to go with them.
