He didn’t understand.

He didn’t understand why this man was so insistent on talking to him like this; like they were some family on tv, where the dad would throw an arm around his distraught child and actually care when something happened to them. Something he always wished he had.

Junpei would say he hates it, but he would just be lying to himself.

Maybe that’s why he found himself here, where he hoped Minato would be. Lowered head and soaked hair barely covered the forming bruises on his face, Despite how heavy he felt- a soaked trench coat didn’t really help- he pulled himself inside when prompted.

“..’s closer than UA.” The student mumbled, half-heartedly justifying his unprompted appearance.

{♚}—; Crash looked down at his kart which was still warm after a few races, but he wasn’t done yet because soon they’d have a new track to visit and new racers joining the fun. The orange marsupial had some time to himself so he decided to have a little fun in the meantime.

For now, he pulled his yo-yo out of his pocket and began to play with it to pass the time. Letting the toy go up and down as he swung it around. Although, he hadn’t realized that some of the new racers were coming to visit one of which would include a purple dragon whom might surprise the mutant.

This is not the first time Jiraiya has taken interns under his wing. Moreover, he loved interns and loved to watch how a beautiful frog grew from a small tadpole. Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan became amazing heroes and Jiraiya was ready to watch the new tadpole grow. That is why he offered an internship to Minato Namikaze, a young talent who showed himself excellently at the UA's Competition Festival.
