Somehow I still have more ships in my list? You people are too good at this lol
I'm searching for good Shez ships now, so I'd like to know everyone's favorites!
It should go without saying but please don’t be rude just because you don’t like a ship. If you want to debate or discuss a ship, do it in the tags/comments in a polite manner. This is supposed to be fun. Let’s all be mature adults!
If your favorite ship is not here, it’s probably featured in another poll. You can see all the polls by going to my blog and choosing the tag “valentines polls”. You can also just tell me in the tags or comments.
Ferdinand and Sylvain - “against the wall” kiss? Thank you for taking some prompts again I look forward to them!
What if... we kissed... and we were both red heads 0_o

It was rare to see Sylvain in the training grounds. Ferdinand leaned back against the wall for a water break and found himself watching Sylvain spar. Two students Ferdinand didn’t know rushed at Sylvain at the same time. Wielding only a basic wooden lance, Sylvain took both out with ease-- and Ferdinand had to admit, his breath caught at the sight.
And then Sylvain ruined it by dramatically falling in “defeat” when a female student scored a “lucky hit” with her axe.
Ferdinand groaned at the display. It was as if Sylvain felt the need to balance out every impressive action with an empty headed one. He clearly possessed great skill-- why hide behind endless flirting? The question had plagued Ferdinand for longer than he would care to make known. There was little point in wondering so much about someone from another house, someone who Ferdinand likely wouldn’t see after graduation.
The thought only stung a little bit.
Ferdinand watched Sylvain push back some sweat-soaked hair and wink at the axe girl, making her blush and giggle. Sylvain took off his school jacket and wrapped it around his middle, exposing-- those certainly weren’t the muscles of someone who didn’t keep up with training. Ferdinand gripped his water skin tighter. Maybe he ought to challenge Sylvain himself. Just to see if he really was that skilled. Definitely not because Ferdinand wanted a closer look.
No, it would just be a contest between two different fighting styles. Clearly Sylvain wasn’t actually picking opponents that would grant him a real workout. Ferdinand could help with that. True nobles helped one another grow... yes, that is what Ferdinand would tell him.
“Enjoying the view?”
Ferdinand dropped his water skin. Somehow, while he had been lost in his... planning, Sylvain had made his way closer. Now he stood in front of Ferdinand, one hand on his hip and the other still holding the lance.
Sylvain grinned and stooped to pick up the water skin. “Pretty long water break, if you ask me,” he said, holding it out.
Ferdinand took it sheepishly. “I was simply watching you fight. Does that bother you?”
“Not at all.” Sylvain moved closer. “But why me? There’s lots of people out here to watch.”
“You do not train often. I have hardly had the opportunity to observe your style before today.”
Sylvain chuckled. “My style, huh? Sure you weren’t staring for a different reason?”
“What other reason would I have?”
Ferdinand abruptly realized he was cornered. Sylvain had stepped so close so gradually that Ferdinand hadn’t noticed. Leaning in, Sylvain’s next words brushed Ferdinand’s cheek. “I can think of a few...”
There was a beat where Ferdinand seriously considered pushing Sylvain away and declaring his training done for the day.
Instead, he let Sylvain kiss him.
Later Ferdinand would wonder how many stares they attracted. In the moment, however, Ferdinand was more concerned with how soft Sylvain’s lips felt against his own. How Sylvain’s skin was still tacky with sweat. How fast his heart was beating now that something he had rarely let himself think about was happening.
When they finally drew apart, Ferdinand forced himself to meet Sylvain’s eyes, which were round with surprise. “I didn’t actually think I was right,” Sylvain murmured incredulously. “You were really staring because--”
“T-That was not my intention!” Ferdinand protested. “At least, not at first. I meant to ask you to spar with me.”
Sylvain raised an eyebrow. “Then why not just come over and ask?”
“I became... distracted.”
With a snort that quickly turned into a laugh, Sylvain backed away. “You’re an interesting one, Ferdinand. Alright, let’s spar. You had plenty of time to watch me so I hope you learned something.” With a wink, Sylvain turned and crossed back to the sparring circle.
Refusing to dwell on what that wink had done to his chest, Ferdinand quickly retrieved his own lance and followed. He would not let Sylvain’s actions addle him.
However, perhaps during Sylvain’s water break, Ferdinand could try and addle him right back.
