The Palestinian People know what mean to be shot while unarmed because of your ethnicity

I was looking through a folder of photos I'd collected from tumblr and found this one from 2014.
Do you want to bless the person you see on the street corner, but don't want to just give cash? Here's how to make homeless care kits that *actually* help.
10 BEST THINGS TO PUT IN HOMELESS CARE KITS
For easy reference, here are some of the most-requested items, a “top ten” if you will:
Socks (this is the #1 most asked-for item)
Gloves
Water bottle
Bandages
Wet wipes
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Sunscreen
Tuna & cracker packs
Single-serving snacks like trail mix, nuts, crackers
Nail clippers

As the weather turns chilly and the daylight hours grow shorter, it’s a good reminder to look out for our neighbors who are living without reliable shelter. And as some folks are celebrating the bounty of the harvest and giving thanks for food on the table, it’s important to remember those who are going without.
We will be continuing to stock our Little Free Pantry, delivering Care Packs, and adding some cold-weather goodies to the Little Free Libraries as well (much thanks to a teammate who has us well-stocked with all flavors of teas, coffees, and hot cocoa packets!) Times are uncertain for indoor shelters and soup kitchens, so we’ll do what we can to fill in gaps and work with others who are serving those in our community needing support at this time.

Immanuel Church
221 Church Street, Ferguson
This is the only Little Free Pantry we’ve located in the area. It seems to be used frequently, and re-stocked not as frequently. Since one of our team members works right across the street, and is now back to working on-site, we can keep a better eye on it.
There are unhoused neighbors in the area, and low-income families that could use the help.

Jeske Sculpture Park
211 Thoroughman Avenue, Ferguson
The Jeske Park Sculpture Garden is a seven-acre public sculpture park in the heart of Ferguson, Missouri. The Inaugural 2014 Jeske Sculpture Park Exhibition brought together 10 artworks by 8 artists representing 7 states.
In the wake of damaging tornadoes in 2011 and 2013, group of residents and officials wanted to do something positive for the community. The Jeske Park Neighborhood Association held a meeting where community members could present ideas and discuss future improvements to the park. Resident Bryce Robinson suggested a Sculpture Park and presented a plan to the City Council for consideration.
Lee-Hamilton School
401 Powell Avenue, Ferguson
This LFL has three small boxes that have doors on front and back. So six in all! One is currently hosting a family of wasps, so until we’re able to deal with that, we’re leaving it empty.
Silver Bells by Bing Crosby
Silver bells, silver bells It's Christmas time in the city Ring-a-ling, hear them ring Soon it will be Christmas day
City sidewalks, busy sidewalks Dressed in holiday style In the air there's a feeling of Christmas Children laughing, people passing Meeting smile after smile And on every street corner you hear
Silver bells, silver bells It's Christmas time in the city Ring-a-ling, Hear them ring, Soon it will be Christmas day
Strings of street lights, even stoplights Blinkin' bright red and green As the shoppers rush home with their treasures Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch This is Santa's big scene And above all this bustle you hear
Silver bells, Silver bells It's Christmas time in the city Ring-a-ling, it fills the winter air Hear them ring, you hear it everywhere Soon it will be Christmas day
