Doodling my own OCs for the centaur au and fighting with all my might to not give Ferian antlers. I don't think elven taurs would have them, but Ferian is just asking for a pair :'D

I tried to do these fast and somewhat nice, but I kinda failed at both :’D *isn’t happy at all at how they turned out*

 Still need to figure out a drawing style that’s fast but looks alright. Anyway though: I did 9 and 11 but left out 16, because Tamlen’s Halamshiral outfit is the red uniform from in game (and I like it xD). He does have a different uniform in Trespasser later in my headcanon, but I want to do something proper for that later and actually properly develop the details ^^’ Sorry!

But here’s 9 and 11: him as a 6 year old and his parents, Velya and Ferian ^^

I made Tamlen’s parents in the CC :’D Not really happy with Velya (I’m somehow never happy with her during my first attempt of creating her in some way - or maybe it’s the lack of curly hair options this time :’D). Ferian turned out quite good, although his ears are a bit too round... and his hair needs to be a loooot longer!! :D

Anyways... Have a short drabble to go along with it, too:

“Tell me about your parents,” Dorian asked.

Tamlen opened his eyes again to look at him, frowning slightly.

“Why?”

“Well, because I’m curious, obviously,” Dorian said, “You mentioned them before, but you never really talk a lot about them.”

“I don’t think there’s much interesting to tell about them. They’re my parents…” Tamlen paused for a moment, sitting up a bit more straight, “I wouldn’t really know where to start.”

“What about their names? That would be a good start,” Dorian suggested.

Tamlen chuckled.

“Alright. My mother is called Velya, my father’s name is Ferian.”

Silence filled the Inquisitor’s quarters once more.

“Go on,” Dorian smiled, gently stroking Tamlen’s shoulder, “They can’t be as bad as my parents are.”

Tamlen smiled at him sadly before huddling closer and wrapping his arms around Dorian.

“No, it’s alright,” Dorian hummed before pressing a quick kiss against Tamlen’s forehead, reciprocating the warm embrace, “We both know that they’re not quite the example to follow.”

“And you think my parents might be?” Tamlen asked in return.

“Well, they raised you. They can’t be that awful.”

Tamlen’s ears started turning slightly red, but he smiled.

“What do you want to know then?”

“What about your mother,” Dorian asked, “What kind of person is she?”

“She’s… complicated,” Tamlen laughed, “Don’t try to flatter her like you just did with me. She’s not going to approve.”

Dorian couldn’t help but laugh.

“She also loves our halla though – she’s the clan’s halla keeper. I suppose… she’s a bit over-protective sometimes, might come across standoffish at first, but she only means well.”

“That sounds familiar,” Dorian teased, while Tamlen’s ears turned even redder. He playfully pushed Dorian a bit, but immediately returned to cuddling again.

“What about your father?” he asked next, a bit more serious than before.

“I think you’d like him a lot,” Tamlen reassured him, “I think he might come across a bit intimidating at first because he is a much respected member of our clan. He has a talent for seeing through people immediately, but deep down he’s actually a very funny and lighthearted person.”

“He indeed sounds very likeable,” Dorian agreed, “When are you going to introduce us?”

Tamlen laughed.

“Well, we’ll see.”

As promised, my Inquisitor Tamlen’s parents: Velya and Ferian of clan Lavellan :D Velya is the clan’s halla Keeper, just like her mother was before her. Ferian is the clan’s First hunter and probably also the best one. Here’s an older version of them I did a couple of months ago. Ferian didn’t change much, but I adjusted Velya a bit - and I think I’m happy with how she looks now :)

One day I will need to attempt creating them in the CC as well, and I’m probably going to be really frustrated about the lack of hairstyles again :’D
