Wild Sharing: Fruits of the Forest with Claire Morris-Wright

Join LPW artist and printmaker Claire Morris-Wright, for a day of printmaking using the forest as subject and material source! You will forage plant forms and fruits from the hedges surrounding Sudborough Green Lodge to create unique natural pestos and inks. These will then be used for experimental prints, inspired by drawings and photographs of the landscape of Fermyn Woods.

Fermynwoods Contemporary Art NEW DIRECTOR

Deadline: Midnight on Sunday 8 October Interviews will be held in Thrapston during the week of 23 October

After 8 years at the helm of Fermynwoods Contemporary Art, our current Director Yasmin Canvin, will be leaving the organisation at the end of September to take up the role of Director at Leicester Print Workshop.

We are now advertising for the exciting role of a new Director to lead the organisation through its twentieth year and beyond. This includes the delivery of The Forest is the Museum and The Outdoor Institute of Art, an exciting 2 year artistic and educational programme, in partnership with the Forestry Commission.

A new wee project launches today 15 January 2015.

Inspired by Paul Klee's "to take a line for a walk" and the game of consequences, "Take this instruction for a walk", is a year long on-line project where you are invited to take an instruction for a walk, follow the instruction, document the activity in someway (drawing, writing, film, audio, live code etc), write a new instruction and pass it onto a new person for them to follow and pass on to someone else.. so the chain (or multiple chains) continue.
