I wasn’t planning on drawing this, but after seeing Phil work so hard on the monument I decided that keep creating in the name of Techno was a good thing and I made this. It's not the best, I have not drawn digitally in a long while but, I hope that Alex somehow knows and appreciates what we as a community are doing.
In the past year this man has been such an important figure for all of us and knowing that from now on he will only live on through our hearts breaks me. I still wish this was all a fucked up joke.
When he announced that he almost had become an amputee but that was feeling better I was so joyous, not only because I was certain that it was over but also cause at that time I had also had an injury that had left my arm impaired for a couple of months and at the time I thought to myself:“we are like brothers now lol”. I think it was around that actually when I started considering him as a sort of older brother figure cause I just thought he was so cool and smart and funny and every time I was stressed I would put a video with him talking, usually one in which he talked about greek mythology with calm music in the background, it was very comforting for me.
I'll miss the guy, I really will, but the idea that he does not need to fight anymore comforts me and I hope that wherever he is he is at peace.
