Hello, bird nerd here, Northern Flickers are really cool!! Honestly there’s so many birds I never knew lived around me until I started paying attention and tried to document what they were. It’s crazy what u might never notice! Anyway, if you haven’t already I encourage you to look up what a Northern Flickers call sounds like because it can be annoying as hell and it may be a familiar sound due to the shrieking nature of it haha

i would dare to say that i know most of the birds round these parts, ive just never seen these dudes before. and my mom showed me someone posted the bird on facebook today and said THEY also never seen them before ??? like what this is crazy 😂
