27 fined for profiteering, five arrested for overcharging

KARACHI: The administration launched a crackdown on profiteers and fined 27 shopkeepers Rs32,000 for overcharging. Similarly five shopkeepers were arrested for selling commodities more than the fixed price.

Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said that crackdown on profiteers would continue and any one selling daily-use item on inflated rates would be dealt with sternly.
