The water is alive.

Ranulf stood up from the shallow water and took a deep breath, happy the have made his last lap for the day. He pulled off his cap and goggles in one rough motion leaned back, allowing his body to float on the water. His tail drifted off to the side. The laguz had received several comments around school being a cat on the swim team but honestly he liked the water. It felt relaxing to him. "I should get out soon," he muttered to himself. "Ike's probably wondering why I'm taking so long again," he said with a chuckle.

Ranulf stood up and climbed out of the pool and began to make his way towards the locker room. "Swim team try outs are next week. I wonder who we'll see there," his mind began to wander and then something caught his eye. A shadow from the other side of the pool. He turned his attention. "Someone there?" he called out.

I'm Trying To Study... (Morgan and Yarne)

Morgan was under a lot of stress. Even though he was studious and usually very good at school, he was very nervous about his upcoming test in Chemistry. Chemistry was the one subject that gave him the most trouble. If he ever took a science class again, it wasn't going to be Advanced Chemistry. He'd heard nightmare stories about it. It was bad enough that he struggled sometimes to keep an A in chemistry. Then again, if he got a B, he wouldn't freak out. Morgan wasn't exactly a perfectionist. He just...naturally put everything he could into his schoolwork and studying.

That was why he was having trouble and a bit stressed now. He sighed, trying to focus in on these terms he would need to know, and trying to remember how to do Stoichiometry properly. Thank god they would at least be able to use element tables. Study hall was usually a good time for Morgan to catch up on things whenever he felt behind...usually. But sitting next to Yarne, well...sometimes Yarne wasn't the most helpful to trying to study. Morgan had this feeling this was going to be one of those times.

Movie Night (Morgan and Amelia)

Morgan held the shopping bag in his hands as he stepped out of the car, closing the door on his side. He observed the contents once more and grinned. Once he'd moved over to Amelia's side of the car and opened the door for her, he told her "We made good time, it hasn't started to melt yet. We better get these in the freezer soon though." Morgan bowed and chuckled, waiting for Amelia to step out of the car.

Morgan could barely contain his excitement. It wasn't even quite 5 in the evening yet, and he was going to get to spend the whole evening and part of the day tomorrow with Amelia. Wreck-It Ralph, along with ice cream mixed with brownie pieces, was foremost on the agenda tonight, but he had no idea what they'd do the rest of the time. He didn't care though, as long as it was with her. Maybe, if he could manage to muster the courage this time...well...maybe he should take small steps. After all, there was Homecoming coming up soon...maybe he could...well...he'd figure it out as he went along.

Lunch on the Roof [Open Highschool AU starter]

Lyon hummed a soothing tune to himself and smiled, pushing open the door with one hand and gingerly balancing his tray on the other so that the contents wouldn't fall down. It would be a terrible waste if that sandwich ended up on the ground, especially since he was actually feeling hungry at the moment. The air up there was fresh and cool, a welcome change from the stuffy air of the inside of the building- Which he hadn't even noticed until he had felt the drastic difference himself. The lavender-haired teen laughed, before shrugging and sitting down at his usual spot- on one of the more isolated small picnic tables put there for wandering students who wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cafeteria.

A contented sigh as he unwrapped his food, when he heard the sound of footsteps reverbrating from the stairwell. Someone else was coming up here? How odd. Lyon set down his sandwich and turned his gaze in said direction. Well, company would be a nice change, wouldn't it?

The Dinner Assignment

"They really expect us to..." Amelia sighed, crossing her arms. She was expected to go out with a classmate to a restaurant, and pretend that they didn't speak any of the native language. They were allowed to point at things, and speak the best they could of their foreign language, but still. "Gods, are you ready to go?" 

The Sophomore looked at her classmate, trying to remember the most of the foreign language. She was honestly quite excited, but at the same time she didn't quite know how well this would go. She'd heard so many people say that this was dumb, and that they would just make up the paper- the whole experience. She was lucky that her classmate had decided to go with her and not make everything up.

Checkmate (Open High School AU Post)

"Checkmate!" Morgan called out happily. His opponent, who just so happened to be the president of Chess Club, was cornered. "I win! I just knew that strategy would work perfectly!" He and Morgan shook hands. "Good match." Morgan always had good manners when it came to...well most things, but Chess was among that list of things. "Phew, I think I'm getting better at this with each strategy I come up with!"

"Better?" The president said in almost disbelief, shaking his head. "You can excel even more than you already do, Morgan? Honestly, I don't see why you don't try to at least be vice president or something."

"Eh, positions of leadership aren't exactly my thing." Morgan shrugged as he stood up. "I love to play Chess, but I don't know if I could bring much to the, er, 'leadership table'. Anyways, that was a nice pre-class match, but I am hungry for breakfast. I'm gonna head to the cafeteria and get some. I mean, I know it's about an hour before classes start, but best to be up early and ready to go right? I mean, after all, that's why we get here early to play chess, and get our minds in shape for the day." The big important meetings were after school, of course, but Morgan, the president of the club, and sometimes other members (but not today) would arrive early around 7:30 in the morning just to play some chess before the day started.

"See you later on!" Morgan waved as he left the room and headed further down the hall, toward the cafeteria, backpack on his back and a couple textbooks in hand. He suddenly bumped into someone and dropped his books. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying enough attention to where I was going! Er, here, did you drop anything? Let me help you."

High School AU Event Open Starter

Nils sighed as he glanced around the auditorium of the school. He sat down on the edge of the stage and kicked his feet gently. The band was finishing up with setting up for some concert they were putting on for the school and he was feeling a bit nervous. It was going to be his first concert in a high school. The flute player stood up and began heading back to the back of the stage to help finish setting up but tripped over some sort of wire and tumbled backward, off the stage. He groaned and sat up, rubbing his head as a couple of other students and the teacher gathered around. It didn't take long for the teacher to determine he should go to the nurses office. Nils nodded and headed out with a small sigh. He studied his shoes as he walked to the nurses office, not looking up until he saw someone elses shoes in his vision. The boy stopped right before the two ran into each other and looked up. "S-Sorry!"
