i love seeing the edits and unpolished sections, makes you appreciate the published books even more
how are we pronouncing "valentien" (va-LEN-ti-en?)
really packs a gut punch in such a short story
and the ending ugh!!! everyone sad! what i'd give for a follow-up story...
i'm thinking for my next reread i want to read this earlier on, so i have this knowledge of celie's character when reading the main books. bc i definitely don't appreciate her enough in fotr (finn's perspective doesn't help)
