combeferre/éponine used to be a more common ship and i’m not sure where exactly it disappeared to, but as a multishipper i’m still into it. i get a huge kick out of the idea that ferre would recognize the depth of éponine's unconventional knowledge for what it is, and see her as someone fascinating, someone full of endless possibility.

Jeez, man, I feel your pain. I mean, at times I ship Ferre with maybe Enjolras or Courfeyrac, but FERREPONINE OH MY GOD. I think that Eponine would be really good for Combeferre, just as Combeferre would do Eponine so much good - if we're going with the Eponine being in love with Marius thing here then maybe Ferre and Ponine could start off as just friends after Grantaire brings Eponine along to one of the meetings and Ferre helps Ponine get through Marius falling in love with Cosette, but then actually Eponine starts to fall for Combeferre and he starts to fall in love with her and then one day they just kiss and Ferre asks her on a date and she says yes and from there blossoms a beautiful relationship.
