Judging student artworks made with garbage during the 1st Arts and Environment Week at the Far Eastern University (FEU), Manila. With me are my co-teacher, Dom Briones and the IARFA dean Arch. Mike Carpio.

On my second year of teaching at the FEU Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts (IARFA), I was asked by the students to be the faculty advisor for the ENSOC (Environmental Society) student organization. On the second year of my advising, we instituted the Arts and Environment Week on February 2006, to coincide with the National Arts Month.

Chatting with veteran actor Leandro “Roy” Álvarez (1950-2014) in my classroom at the Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts (IARFA) administrative office of the Far Eastern University (FEU), in Manila.

I met Roy at the home of the environmentalist Odette Alcantara (1940-2009) in Blue Ridge, Quezón City; where we were all called to help Tita Odette organize the 2000 Earth Day celebrations. And have been friend with him ever since, if fact my ex asked him to be a ninong (godfather) in our wedding.
