The day runs like any other; patients in and out of the office for things like a cough or a burn. Rina had no problem working with humans or fae but made sure to keep her patients separate as a persuasion. Today was one of her shorter days which meant less patients, though she didn’t expect to get a call from the front desk about a young woman having a deep scratch on her nose. It sounded like a really odd place for a wound but figured it was caused by some animal and they got a little too close.
Rina told the front nurse to sign her in and send her back in about five minutes. She just needed to run to the supply closet to grab her instruments when she realized she had no more. By the time she was in and out of the closet her nose picked up a whiff of something that wasn’t human. The scent was familiar but this was someone new to her.
Well it was this fae’s lucky day. She walked back into her patient room with a soft smile and the supplies in hand. Her eyes saw the young woman, went to their nose and her mind click instantly with the scent becoming much stronger. “That is a nasty scratch you have there.” Pointing to the wound as she looked at how bad it was.
“Oh! You’re safe here. This office of mine is fae friendly and before you ask how I know... I can smell you.” Her smile was still soft as it was in her own nature to assure fae that she was one of them. That they would be safe in her care.
