Rhys looked up, hands braced on my thighs. Bow, he’d once ordered Tamlin. And now here he was, on his knees before me. His eyes glinted as if he remembered it, too.
[...]
“And if she notices me?” His hands tightened slightly. “Then we’ll learn precisely how skilled you are.” Cruel, conniving bastard. I glared at him.
[...]
“So I’m your huntress and thief?” His hands slid down to cup the backs of my knees as he said with a roguish grin, “You are my salvation, Feyre.”
☑ On his knees
☑ Talking about the wedding ring (retrieval)
☑ Wondering if she'll pass his mom's test
☑ Confessing his feelings for her
You may argue that this was an unconventional and very inconvenient proposal, which I agree, but Rhysand for sure had a checklist of things that couldn't be missing in this special moment and that's a hella valid point for him and you can't change my mind
At the Feysand wedding it's Feyres turn to read her vows and she pulls out a crumpled piece of paper and starts to read
"Rhysand is the most handsome high lord, Rhysand is the most cunning high lord, Rhysand is the best lover a female could ask for (and so on)"
And Rhys just loses it and Feyre has to fight to keep herself from losing it too and right before they kiss Feyre whispers "Prick" and Rhys whispers "Feyre darling" back and I just 😭😭😭
So I was at one of the Sarah J. Maas events for ToD and
Someone asked what she had against writing wedding scenes.
She proceeded to tell us that she actually HAS WRITTEN A WEDDING SCENE FOR FEYSAND. And promptly abandoned it because it was too sappy.
Everyone lost their minds. We basically begged her to put it in as bonus content somewhere and she basically said "maybe, we'll see."
AND I JUST THINK IT'S IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT SARAH HAS CONFIRMED THAT THERE IS A WEDDING SCENE THAT EXISTS AND SHE SPECIFICALLY SAID THAT IT HAS THE WHOLE CIRCLE AND EVERYONE'S CRYING AND JUST YES. IT EXISTS AND I WANT IT.
What I hope we get to see:
Feysand Wedding
● Imagine Feyre finally having a wedding of her dreams!
● No puffy/frilly dress.
● No red rose petals.
● Just a wonderful celebration with her mate, family and friends. (Maybe High Lords will join as well?)
Wedding Reception
● Mor bringing out the wine and getting everyone to dance!
● Fae and/or human wedding traditions??? Like tossing the bouquet and garter??? WHAT IF NESTA AND CASSIAN CATCH THESE??? OR ELAIN? LUCIEN? AZRIEL?
● But watch Amren catch it while everyone gives pointed glances at Varian.
Honeymoon
● WALL SEX
● WALL SEX
● AND MORE WALL SEX
“What a pretty little wedding,” Rhysand said, stuffing his hands into his pockets…
Rhys looked me over slowly, and clicked his tongue at my silk gloves…
I was shaking too badly to say anything. Rhys’ eyes flickered with distaste…
”I’ll be taking her now.”…
Tamlin took a single step toward me…
”Don’t bother,” Rhys crooned, linking elbows with me…
”Tamlin, please.”…
But Tamlin didn’t move–”If you hurt her–”…
No–no, Tamlin couldn’t be making those kinds of threats, not when they meant he was letting me go.”…
Rhys released my elbow only to slip a hand around my waist, pressing me into his side as he whispered in my ear, “Hold on.”

Feysand - modern au
“Marry me,” Rhys says, hands shaking as he looks at the person across from him, eyes full of love and want.
Cassian can barely contain the scandalized smile that flits across his face before he forces a serious expression to be placed there again. “Come on and marry me.” Rhys insists, then struggles to find the next words.
Cassian glances down at the cards in his hands. “Why not agree to be-“
“Why not agree to be my blushing bride?” Rhys finally remembers, racking his brain for the rest of the phrase he had already practiced a dozen times. “I know the Night Court would give it’s consent, and there’s a townhouse I’m dying to rent.”
This time, with Rhys’ earnest face looking at him with so much love - not to mention the unintentional rhyming Rhys keeps doing - Cassian can’t help but let out a laugh. Rhysand nudges his shoulder to get him to regain his composure. Cassian clears his throat, glances at the note cards, and then nods for Rhys to go on. He takes a deep breath. “I really love you. We can’t go wrong….”
Cassian gives him a few seconds before prompting, “That diamond in the store…”
“I could pay monthly for?”
Cassian cringes, resisting the urge to face palm. He decides not to correct his friend, moving on to the next line. “Come on and marry me.”
“Marry me,” Rhys echoes and Cassian sees Feyre over his shoulder, Nesta entering the clearing right behind her. They’re right on time. “Marry me.” Rhys is mumbling as Cass turns him around to face his girlfriend. Cassian slips the notecards into his pocket, knowing Rhysand won’t need them now.
However, all the preparation in Rhys’ head disappears when he sees Feyre. He can’t go back now though, not after so much planning and persuasion and waiting. His hands are clammy and he wants to run them through his hair nervously, but knows he can’t. For the first time in his life, Rhysand isn’t sure what to do.
He opts for running and scooping Feyre up in his arms. He twirls her before setting her down and resting his forehead against hers. She smiles up at him, hand on the side of his face and thumb grazing his cheekbone lovingly. Rhys takes her hand, places a kiss on it, and then gets down on one knee.
“Marry me, Feyre.” He says, looking deep into her eyes. He hears Cassian sigh in relief and Nesta gasp but he doesn’t look away from Feyre’s shocked gaze. For the life of him, he cannot remember what is written on those damn notecards. “Give in and marry me.”
Her hand flutters to her chest as Rhysand takes a small box out of his pocket and opens it up to her. “You may not know it yet…” He can’t remember the next line, so he blurts, “But I’m the best you’ll get!”
“Oh my god.” Cassian groans behind him and Feyre rolls her eyes with a small giggle. Rhysand smiles, moving the ring box closer to Feyre in an attempt for an answer.
“Wake up, and marry me.” He practically begs. “Marry me.” He says again as she slowly takes the ring and grins. Feyre nods furiously and Rhys stands to embrace her. “Marry me.” He murmurs one last time into her hair.
They draw back and share a tender kiss. “I love you, Rhys.” Feyre whispers against his lips. “Of course I’ll marry you.”
Rhysand lets out a low chuckle. “I love you, too.”
Feyre is so excited, she skitters over to Nesta to show off her beautiful new engagement ring. Nesta, who’d been having some sort of staring contest with Cassian, gives her sister a smile. “It’s so quiet, Nesta.” Feyre mumbles, running a finger over the stone.
The elder sister raises an eyebrow. “What’s quiet?”
Feyre shrugs, not really knowing how to explain. “When it all comes true,” She glances at Rhys, who had been chest bumping with Cassian and both of them quickly adjust under her gaze. Feyre laughs. “Just the way he planned, well, it’s funny, but the bells don’t ring. It’s more of a quiet thing.”
She examines the ring again, letting Nesta fade away and feeling Rhys come up behind her. He slides an arm around her waist and she leans back into his chest. He grasps her hand so they can both look at the piece of jewelry in a better light. “When you hold the world in your trembling hand, you’d think you’d hear the choir sing. But it’s a quiet thing.” Seems like they both have a rhyming thing going today.
Rhys places a kiss on her shoulder. Feyre feels like she’s on cloud nine, turning around in his arms and linking her hands behind his neck. “There are no exploding fireworks. Where’s the roaring of the crowds?” He raises an eyebrow wonderingly, causing Feyre to chuckle. “Maybe its the strange new atmosphere, way up here above the clouds.”
She can already imagine her wedding dress, the church, her bouquet. Rhys spins her out and she lets out a full on laugh, only subconsciously aware that Nesta and Cassian have disappeared somewhere, leaving her and her new fiancé alone.
“But I don’t hear the drums, I don’t hear the band. Y’know, the sounds I’m told that such moments bring?” Rhys is at a loss for words as she twirls more. He tucks his hands into his pockets and simply smiles proudly at her.
Feyre sashays back to him, grasping the lapels of his coat and pulling herself up onto her toes. “No, I suppose happiness… it comes in on tiptoe.” She whispers, letting her nose just touch his. Neither of them can resist it and suddenly their lips are connected.
Feyre lets out a content sigh when they pull away. “Well, what do you know? It’s a quiet thing.” His arms slide around her waist easily. “A very quiet thing.”
