Precis 10/30/15

In “Legal Terrror and the Police Dog” Tyler Wall calls trained police dogs “Instruments of organized coerscion and bloodletting” and claims that the use of them is an exercise of state power and a  symbol for terror. He does so through the histories of police dog violence and the fear induced in the victims, while also explaining the lethal use of these dogs in war. The reason for this article is to show that police dogs do more harm than good, but continue to be used as a fear tactic to keep social order.
