Phoebe and Benjamin from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (1992). This game is a bit weird -- but it seriously has one of the best battle/boss themes ever. I drew this because I used to love 90s chibi art and thought the look fit. It's also weird in FFMQ that whenever a character joins your party they're ALWAYS levelled higher than you!! Way to bring the party down, Ben. PS: I hope you like my poorly drawn fishperson in the back. —

Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest was out today in Japan in 1993, arriving a year after it did was originally released in America.
Here’s a blast from the past: Dualhead Hydra from Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest! It’s not a great game, but it was amazing to my eight-year-old self. And this boss was tough for little me! (Though the Ice Golem was a nightmare if you didn’t save up the Magic Seeds.)
