Finstock’s Fucked Up Long Weekend 2019

IT’S HAPPENING. 

From Friday November 15th, to Sunday November 17th, I’m going to celebrating all things Coach related, and I encourage you to do the same. Fic, art, graphics, gifs, playlists, moodboards, recs, whatever you’re comfortable with, let’s DO THIS THING. For themed prompts, I wanted to give a more open-ended choice, I ENCOURAGE everyone to twist the prompts into whatever tickles their fancy. The A Sides are more interpretive and odd, and the B Sides are more familiar to other challenges. Go with whatever your heart tells you! I want to give people enough time to plan, ask questions about prompts, so here they are:

A Side: NOISE COMPLAINT - 

To kick off this event, we’re starting off loud. It’s Friday, we’re off school and work, and it’s time to kick up the volume and PARTY. Noise Complaint can mean a whole mess of different things. Is Finstock throwing a loud party? Does he show up to school wearing loud clothes? Does he call the cops on a loud disturbance? Maybe we get to see the outsider perspective on just how LOUD the Coach is at games? Maybe it’s the misconception that he’s always loud, maybe we can see him in a softer moment. However you want to interpret this as, run wild! 

B Side: DATE NIGHT - 

Fries and footsie under the table - Date night! Is Finstock on the date? Is he awkwardly intruding on the date? Is it a Beacon Hills speed dating event that is hilarious and disastrous? The world is yours!

A Side: AFTER MIDNIGHT - 

All right, folks, it’s Saturday and that means we can stay up late and sleep in the next morning. So today’s A-Side theme is After Midnight. What keeps people up late at night? Is it something sensual? Is it the fear of whatever lurks in the dark? Insomnia? Does it fill your mouth with dread or the taste of lukewarm coffee? The witching hour always offers interesting ways to get spooked and fill time, so let’s get some stories that take place in this magical window of time. Do you want something creepy, quiet, sexy? Go wherever your midnight heart takes you!

B Side: CREATURE FEATURE -

Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my! Aka creature feature. Is Finstock a creature? Is he meeting some wolves? Is a monster causing problems at a lacrosse game? The world is your oyster!

A Side: TEAM BUILDING EXERCISE - 

Happy Sunday! The first Finstock’s Fucked Up Long Weekend is coming to a close and I’m so happy I got the courage to throw this thing. And, like many things, I couldn’t have done it without my friends, so let’s end this fest on the prompt of Team Building Exercises. Finstock’s a Coach, after all, maybe you want to explore how he’s viewed by the team, what got him there, the friends he has… or maybe making rec lists to reach out, and support friends! Kick back, take it easy, it’s Sunday and it’s been a long weekend of maniac content. Monday is coming, but for right now we can just chill and look back fondly on one hell of a Fucked Up Long Weekend. 

B Side: REST AND RELAXATION -

Iced lemonade in the shade - fluff! Kick back, it's the last day, take it easy. Cuddles, hugs, high fives, or maybe just a nice day in alone after a long week, let's give Coach some love!

Coming Soon - Bippity Boppity Bullshit

Of all the Fairy Godmothers and Fairy Godfathers, Bobby Finstock certainly wasn’t a shining example or one to emulate… but god damn he can get the job done. 

This graphic is for @finstocksfuckeduplongweekend​ Saturday B-Side, Creature Feature. I’ve been toying around with a drunk Fairy Godmother idea for a long time and who better to play that sparkly, bourbon-soaked role than Finstock? He’s a bitter magical being who’d rather crawl back into the bottle, but sometimes a Wish just has to be grated and he’s pulled right back in. 

Things I hope to include in this:

Hungover Finstock in deep pain while surrounded by cheery bright colors

Finstock in pink tulle, even if it’s just for a few seconds

Rival is fully Disney’d out in periwinkle robes and bluebirds on their shoulders

Finstock’s swearing making his “clients” nervous

Summary: Hunters aren't supposed to retire. But then, by Bobby's reading of the code, hunters are starting to do a lot of things they're not supposed to. And it just so happens that a hunter's skill set and a restaurant manager's skill set have an awful lot of similarities. At least, they do when the restaurant is the truck stop on the edge of Beacon Hills, where the law of necessity makes customer service standards a lot more flexible.

I’ve Got You (Under My Skin)

All right, for Saturday’s A-Side for @finstocksfuckeduplongweekend​, After Midnight, I’ve written... a pretty dark fic. Heed the warnings and tags for I’ve Got you (Under My Skin). 

Click on over if you’re interested in slow burn in romance and reveal. Someone is a serial killer, Stiles is on the case, and what morals would you sacrifice if it meant keeping real and genuine happiness?

Sunday - Team Building Exercises

Coming Soon - 

Coach Finstock was a Beacon Hills legend. Everyone had at least five stories to tell, even if they weren’t on the lacrosse team. It was a popular subject when people visited home from college, to all meet at the diner and eventually swap their favorite Coach stories. 

This graphic is for @finstocksfuckeduplongweekend​ for Sunday’s A-Side Team Building Exercises. I like the idea of Finstock being a local legend, and some stories contradicting others. I just like the idea of the team wondering about his personal life, assuming things that are proven wrong and right, and in the end it’s just… a strange, intimate, and sometimes unbelievable portrait of a man who’s lived a full life.

Things I hope to include: 

A roundtable of stories around plates of fries and coffee. An old student coming to the old stomping grounds ending up sitting next to the new kid who’s nervous about joining the team. 

Everyone loudly telling one story after another. Contradicting stories, that he’s an eternal bachelor, that he’s married with seven kids, that he has dogs, that he has cats… each detail colorful and not always lining up.

I want the Coach to actually show up in the end, maybe as a first hello to the new kid, or telling them to settle down at the diner.
