They'd been walking through Insomnia after escaping a charity gala early—technically, Noctis escaped, called Prompto, and Prompto followed like always.

The photograph is candid, with Noctis sitting on a low concrete wall. The camera isn't directed toward his face; instead, you can see the city lights blurring around him, and his profile obscured by shadows. To any outsider, he looks like just another guy. And a handsome one at that, but not one they can recognize as their Crown Prince.

This was actually taken in Akademia Anyder with a loooot of filter adjustments and some third party tools to 1) spawn Noctis and 2) get him waaaay out of bounds in the boss arena and then made much larger to account for Amaurotine Scaling. Aaaaand when I was initially drawing this Noctis was null-ked because I was just trying to get his shape down right but it looks so good. Hopefully Tumblr doesnt hit me with a rock for this one. (Also my color palette! I ended up adding the two colors I used from his skin tone but thats it baybee c:
