Dumb headcanon after watching Bakin and Omichi interact in the last event. And because I love them.
So. Oei has her body, with Hokusai being the tiny squid until later ascensions, right? Cute little Toto-Sama.
If Omichi ever gets truly fed up with Bakin, she can kick him out of her body, and force him to use one of the Eight Dog Warriors as a vessel. Temporarily, but still.
It’s entirely possible for you to walk in on a talking dog and an artist squid engaged in an intense argument about artistic direction, while Oei and Omichi have lunch.
