One-shot
'Why does everything hurt...?' It was the first clear thought that occurred to him as he opened his eyes, followed in rapid succession by wondering what time it was and why he remembered getting up once already for the day. The world was hazy still, made his head spin and made him want to just- "Lieutenant Commander! Can you hear me? Are you alright?!" 'Oh. That would be why.' A hazy chain of events began to coalesce in his mind, daisy chained together by recall and extrapolation that even in his disoriented state resolved itself faster Han a normal man at his peak. A breach of safety protocols that resulted in good people being hurt. An unrepentant overnight shift. Dismissive words that made his usually placid temper boil over, made him raise his voice even as he rose to his feet, shouting with a fire that would have made his old DI back on Reach beam with pride. Then dizziness, disorientation preceding the sensation of falling as his world went black. 'Low blood pressure again,' he thought with disgust. 'From standing, you damn fool.' "Ensign, call the med-" "No need," He managed finally, finding the words and energy to speak again. "Just... Get me back in my chair and get on with it for the day. We've got enough lost time to make up as it is - I'm not wasting it laying around diddling myself in the infirmary." 'No point wasting their time on what can't be fixed, anyway.'
