Whoooo boy lemme tell ya bout the city. I was on 42nd and this older dude behind me started complaining about "fuckin [k slurs] clogging up the g-damn streets" like. Straight up going for the most violent antisemitic slur. I looked at my mom and we kept walking but like. That was so fucked.

that’s so fucked up holy shit? i’m so sorry that happened to you. and like, him being mad about you existing on 42nd street of all places? where it’s super crowded with all kinds of ppl? i mean i know antisemitic assholes are not logical at all but it’s still ridiculous.

thats so shitty im sorry...its pretty ridiculous that that guy was complaining about immigrants in NYC of all places. when i lived up north people generally kept to themselves on the bus but theres always those few people who can make bus rides a miserable and frightening experience. you didn't do anything wrong, i think you were smart not to engage him at all.

i mean ppl on buses can get mad or w/e, but this was much worse in a much different way than usual. tbh i almost wish i’d confronted him but also that would have gone very badly.

@fhaun I’m honestly floored??? Like it started out so well, like this cute story about time travel, and then went from 0 to 100 REAL fast. Ugh. I’m finally getting into this book after years of wanting to read it and now I’m meh about it.

I think I’m gonna stick through it and just finish this book and see what happens.
