The tapping of an owl against her window was enough to make her nearly jump from her skin. Looking at it with a tilted head, it certainly wasn’t any owl she recognized. Ignoring it she went back to her studies - maybe the poor thing had the wrong room. Though it insisted on it’s pecking. “What do you want...” she mumbled slightly annoyed. Opening the window it swooped in almost as if it had authority over her. “Well excuse you..” Letting out a small hoot, a letter addressed to her sat below it.
Grace tilted her head as she looked at it, completely unrecognizable handwriting as well. “Who sent you..” she asked herself mostly as she ran her hands over a seal on the back of the envelope. The flapping of wings disturbed her train of thought as she watched it take off, leaving her with this letter.
Opening it carefully she chewed on her lip the whole time - nervous tick. Grace read the words close to hundred times, her blood only growing colder each time, and the shiver through her spin only causing standing to become an issues. Taking a seat on the edge of the bed she covered her mouth in horror. It was him, the one who thought she owed him her life after saving her a few weeks ago. Grace though for sure she was safe making it this long without a word from him, though she was quick to discover, that leash was a toy, letting her run out far enough to believe she was free before being yanked back.
He requested her to meet him as his place on the outskirts of London, which seemed like the trip no one would really want to make. Though fear drove her to her suitcase to pack, who knew how long he was going to keep her there. The tick of fear that she may just disappear slipped into her thoughts.
After trains and asking directions a millions times Grace managed to find herself in the middle of no where. Seemed like the perfect hide away for a vampire.. no one could hear a thing to what horrors lied under the roof of those night crawlers. “You’re here miss...” “I... wh... oh.. “ Her head had been lowered as she played with her hands, not wanting to see a thing. Though looking up at the mansion it was certainty breath taking. “Thank you.” Tipping the man she grabbed hold of her bag and stepped out onto her wobbly feet. Tipping the man she watched him leave her here at the house that matched all the descriptions she was given.
Clearing her throat Grace made her way up to the front door. It took what felt like ages to lift her heavy arm up to knock against the door, maybe if she was lucky he wouldn’t home, and she could escape back home and tell someone she needed help.
