OK so i had thought, likely not an original one, but still, a thought .
so. shadows had their meaning twisted a hundred times. but. let's go with this interpretation of them (ignoring z3r0 since it was an AU):
let's say that shadows are supposed to be people's repressed emotions (mostly expressed in a negative way and with fred being a special case where he can be seen and heard by freddy all the time), this taken from a few lines in stronger than you;
Nunca fuimos tú y yo / Tú y yo nunca fuimos dos
Es la cobardía la que nos anula
Yo reflejo tus deseos / Yo reflejo tu valor
¿Tienes miedo de que sea tu remedio / O acaso te aterra cumplir sueños? / ¿Qué pretendes conseguir sin hacer nada? / Pon el cuerpo y yo pongo las ganas
if this was the case i think the dynamics of shadows would be really interesting... for example, we have seen very little of gold and even then he was working in favor of cami, but if gold were to show up again, do you think he'd be rebellious?
again, having in mind the interpretation of shadows as repressed emotions, with all the stuff golden has to do to keep up his image and the family company's i think he'd just want to break free from that, so i picture gold as a rebellious guy who just wants to do whatever he wants without having to worry about the press or anything like that.
of course, since shadows basically embody those emotions in a negative way, gold wouldn't be a silly rebellious guy and more likely a mean one, probably even like the nightmares but i don't think he'd go out of his way to hurt people like they do sometimes, i figure that unless someone bothers him he wouldn't want to be aggressive towards other people.
but at the same time i feel like golden himself would be torn by wanting to be surrounded by people (people he can trust, like his friends and loved ones) since he was isolated from other kids when he was younger which took from him the chance to play, socialize and live a normal childhood,
but also wanting to be left alone, as in no more cameras, no more press, no more fans, no more eyes, no more rules to follow, wanting to feel like he can finally be by himself without someone else telling him what to do and how to live his life.
and i personally think this would be catastrophically manifested in gold. like in such an awful way. and it would be so interesting to explore that.
