currently writing this but here are some of my hc’s for the Bad Kids working at a summer camp

riz would be a high ropes/challengers counselor i just. know it in my bones

kristin is very arts and crafts counselor. makes intricate ass friendship bracelets and gives them to everyone

fabian and gorgug are both lifeguard/water counselors but while fabian is a pool games/synchro teacher, gorgug is a river sports and kayaking guy

fig would teach the theater class and direct whatever shitty child production they put on each session but she also has big sport-a-day energy

adaine is an archery girl. i know it in my bones her and ayda teach archery together

baby is a decrepit small chihuahua mutt that lives on camp and everyone is scared of him but fig

tracker is a river life guard and teaches fishing in the morning even though not that many kids take it just cuz she loves it

she can also skip absolutely any rock

kristen loves camp song but. just cannot hold a tune to save her life

riz and adaine have a new riddle every summer that they try and stump the kids(and counselors with(fabian once went the entire summer without figuring out green glass door only to storm into riz’s room in the middle of the night after finally figuring it out))

fabian. cannot do bugs he will just freak the fuck out if around them

gorgug is great with bugs and is also the best counselor to go to with toilet problems cuz he’s a wizard with plumbing (ayda gave him the title of plumbing wizard his first year and it has remained his title)

"Do you ever get tired of answering questions about your eye?" Kristen asked, looking over at him from her spot on the couch.

Fabian paused, looking up from where he had been checking his phone and looking around at the other counselors in the lounge.

Most of them were checking their phones as well, checking what they had missed in the 24 hours since their last break, only Riz and Fig close enough to overhear the conversation.

"I mean, yeah, a little bit," he told her after a moment, "but, it kinda comes with working with kids, and at least they ask. It's worse when they just stare and don't say anything."

Kristen nodded, looking down at her hands as they tangled with the friendship bracelet she had been working on.

He half wondered why she was asking before he saw it, the scar that wrapped around her hand where her pinky clearly used to be. "You don't have to tell them what happened, you know. You can just make shit up to mess with them."

"Really? You do that?"

"Oh of course," he huffed out a laugh, leaning back in the beanbag he was sat in. "My favorite is to tell them that Adaine shot me in the eye on the archery range."

"You cannot keep telling the campers that Fabian!" Adaine threw a pillow at him from across the room, glaring as he caught it. "My entire thing is archery safety and you're going around disparaging my good name!"

"Really, I'm kinda helping," he reasoned, avoiding another pillow as she threw them his way. "I'm teaching them what happens if they don't listen to you."

Adaine huffed, realizing that she had no more pillows to throw and instead settling on cursing Fabian out under her breath, clearly not into his line of thinking.

"You could say a fish ate it," Riz provided next to Kristen on the couch, tuning into the conversation.

"Or that you traded it with a mythical creature," Fig added on, popping up from her spot on the floor below her. "Maybe a unicorn? Or a jackalope?

"I once told a camper that the white in my hair was from being possessed by a ghost and he beleived me, so really you can say anything." Gorgug told her from across the couch.

Kristen smiled, nodding at them thoughtfully as she looked around at them. "How many different stories do you think I can tell before the end of the session?"

more fantasy high summer camp au thoughts (og post here)

kristen’s enemy is the sun. she a is a zinc junkie and if you stand still for long enough she will start rubbing sunscreen on you

tracker has the “women want me, fish fear me” hat and kristen steals it constantly

fig and gorgug are still semi famous rock stars cuz of the sig figs, but they vehemently deny it if any of the campers recognize them (fig makes up elaborate stories of the lead singer stealing her name and look, gorgug denies even knowing what the band is)

campers constantly think that the bad kids are dating each other

the most common pairing campers convince themselves of is fabian and adaine which both parties vehemently oppose, which in turn makes the campers believe it more

every once in a while campers think that fabian and riz are in a secret relationship and once that thought gets going it never ends

riz has had campers tell him that his secret is safe with them and has spiraled before realizing they just think he’s gay, which, close enough

kristen gets a little offended that the kids never think that her and tracker are dating (the kids know that her an tracker are dating. it’s just old news so they dont talk about it)

fabian has told a million different stories about how he lost his eye

he also opts for sun glasses most of the time instead of the eyepatch cuz his first year he got a ridiculous tan line from it

the campers are obsessed with riz’s tattoos and trying to figure out what they mean

would y’all be interested on like hc’s about the parents and/or the seven at camp??

some ayda hc’s for my summer camp au for @thelemonbalmbomb :)

ayda fucking hates the river. she grew up by the ocean. she loves the ocean. rivers are paltry imitations of oceans and are disgusting

ayda also knows all the camp lore (original camp tales and camp history as well as like. everything that has happened at camp in the 10 years she’s been there as a camper and counselor

this means that any embarrassing thing that has happened to the counselors, ayda knows and will tell campers about at the drop of a hat

she and adaine are the archery instructor’s and they keep score of their bullseyes all summer as a competition. it’s. very contentious

cuz of her sensory issues she. hates susnscreen but she doesn’t really burn most of the time so it’s fine. kristen however is just so stressed about ayda getting skin cancer so she and ayda have matching giant sun visors

younger campers love her cuz she always says what she means

she also knows the punchline to pretty much every knock knock joke

has to wear noise canceling headphones during team color wars and cheer offs but fig decorated them so their decked out with team swag

Do you have some adaine head cannons for ur summer camp au?

oh of course i do!!

ok background first: adaine parents fully forgot to pick her up her first year at camp

she spent 3 days with jawbone(camp director) and the counselors during camp cleanup just hanging out before anyone was able to find her parents and she went home

adaine’s cabin always wins inspection. she is hardcore with cabin cleaning

master braider. can braid any and all hair no matter the texture or length

has an extra fannypack besides her counselor fanny pack of just anything that could possibly ever be needed

works in middle cabins so like ages 8-10

lives in the big house on camp with Jawbone during the off season when she’s not away at school

she loves planning really elaborate puzzles and quest for evening programs

i know kristen applebees wears sandals the whole campaign but the real question is what type of sandal.

the reasonable part of me thinks that it’s like. chaco’s cuz like. they are the sturdiest and most realistic

however

the part is me that has fully glommed onto kristen as a character and is aware of her 4 dex knows that that mother fucker probably wore socks and birkenstocks with no back strap

listen i'm on head staff for the first time at my camp this year and that's unlocked an entirely new perspective on Summer Camp Roles for me. this might be a Type Of Guy that is exclusive to charitable camps, but we have a few donors who have given us so much money that we kind of just have to roll with whatever weird conditions they feel like attaching. for example, the guy who bailed us out when we nearly went bankrupt in '15 HATES chewing gum and it is therefore banned on the island.

so can i PLEASE submit: arthur aguefort as the shockingly wealthy philanthropist who gave the camp ridiculous amounts of money & therefore nobody can argue with his unhinged executive decisions. i have a very vivid image in my mind of sandra lynn, sklonda, and jawbone sitting in the office at 1 am trying very hard to figure out how to turn an email he sent that just read "[no subject] SESSION 3 NOW AGUEFORT PRISON EXPERIMENT!!!!!!!!DO NOT TELL COAST GUARD they do not need to be made aware. Sent from my CrystalBerry" into an operable evening program.

so absolutely yes. aguefort would just randomly show up at camp some days and just ride around in like a gator to all the classes cuz he likes seeing what’s happening.
