i think that in my crack thistle(rock)caster au, when gorgug and fabian first start dating part of the reason why gorgug is so surprised and delighted by how fabian treats him is that subconsciously he absorbed the hetero-centric idea that girls are the ones who get flowers and nice presents, and that since obviously gorgug and fabian are both boys, that means they're not going to be giving each other thoughtful gifts or going on nice dates. and if orcs are considered to be more "masc" in solace compared to species like elves, then gorgug is EXTRA not expecting to be doted on as much as he is. and when ragh gets involved, i think he has a very similar mindset, even after shedding most of his hangups about being gay and seeing how fabian treats gorgug. he expects (as the oldest and most masc of the three) to be doing the doting, not receiving it. And while ragh *does* dote on gorgug and fabian a lot, they absolutely dote right back. he gets flowers and sentimental notes and little things that his partners saw and thought he would like, and he is absolutely struck dumb every time this happens for probably months.

in basically all my semi-overlapping thistlerockcaster aus i do think that BOTH fabian and gorgug are subs to ragh's dom. fabian is a brat and ragh lets him be his assistant in domming gorgug a lot, but sometimes they'll switch things up and fabian's the one being ganged up on. i also think there's a really interesting contrast between gorgug and fabian, where gorgug is spoiled and indulged by his partners while fabian prefers to be doing the spoiling for the most part, and how they each react very differently to being dommed. gorgug, in my head, very much likes having orders to follow, while fabian, as i said, is a brat. but gorgug gets more vocal the more comfortable/secure he is, whining and begging and pleading for what he wants (and a *lot* of ragh and fabian's domming is aimed at getting him to do exactly that), while fabian starts off very mouthy, but gets quieter and more clingy as he relaxes and gets used to letting ragh take care of him.

actually i want to talk about fabian and ragh edging gorgug during a movie more. maybe they're in bed, maybe they're on the living room couch, maybe they have a home theater room. but whichever it is fabian and ragh are So Done with whatever movie they chose they never do this when it's gorgug's pick and decide that rather then turning it off or picking something else, they would much prefer to play with gorgug 😈 they start small, ragh whispering comments about the movie into gorgug's ear and fabian nuzzling his neck just a little. and then ragh "notices" gorgug shiver and goes "Aw, baby, are you cold? Come here, lemme warm you up" and manhandles gorgug so he's now sitting between ragh's legs, back-to-chest with him. ragh starts "idly" tracing circles on gorgug's hips with his thumbs to make him squirm, at which point fabian joins in. "gorgug, baby, is something wrong? you're not normally this restless" as fabian is rubbing his thigh, gradually moving inwards towards his groin. "you guys know damn well you're doing this on purpose" gorgug whines, rolling his hips. ragh grabs gorgug more firmly to hold him still, beginning to kiss and nibble his neck. "dunno what you mean bro, i'm just watching the movie 😘" and indeed ragh and fabian *are* looking in the direction of the screen as they tease him, telling him to be quiet and stop squirming, even as ragh is petting his waist and hips and leaving small hickies on gorgug's neck and fabian is rubbing lightly at his crotch and batting gorgug's hands away whenever he attempts to give himself some *relief*. FINALLY the movie ends and gorgug nearly sobs, thinking that now his partners will have mercy and let him come. "oh look, there's a sequel! you guys wanna watch it?" fabian asks innocently.

I imagine Gorgug has a lot of admirers (even if it still shocks him a little to this day) because, well. He's attractive. Tall and strong and smart and nice (mostly) AND A ROCKSTAR and from one of the "biggest deal" parties at school etc etc, also he just canonically has the most game. So, yeah. And considering this it's SO funny he gets with Mary Ann. People start talking about it and just like "...really?" "What did she even do." It's not that she's ugly or particularly unpopular (she doesn't talk to people but it's hard to have a problem with her when she's just kinda. There. And doesn't engage with anything positive or negative. And she's canonically impossible to bully so it's not like people would be hesitant to associate with her because of that or anything her "loner" thing is entirely voluntary) it's just. ???? What ?????? You're so popular. Has this girl ever talked to anyone about anything but her strawberry or how disinterested she is in their current conversation ? What is going on. And then they reason he must like being negged. Because. I mean. Yeah.

one thing i think is funny about my two main thistlerockcaster aus is how thoroughly they prevent fabian's bad day on leviathan. bc like. in one fabian becomes a total mother hen *immediately* following the fight w the corn cuties, AND starts growing away from wanting to be his father's legacy in freshman year. so there's no way he's going to be sneaking off to wander through a dangerous city, alone, at night, without telling anyone where he's going. ESPECIALLY when three of his friends (gorgug, riz, and tracker) are extremely intoxicated. like i haven't decided if gorgug, fabian, and ragh are a thing at that point, but even if they're not fabian is For Sure not going to ignore a year-and-a-half long habit of looking after his friends. (and that's not even getting into if alistair would still be impressed by fabian in this verse)

and in the *other* gorgug and fabian have been dating for over a year by SY, so fabian is extra inclined to stay at the gold gardens. like it wouldn't even occur to him to leave. he has a super cute boyfriend to dote on! why would he want to be anywhere else?

also i am a big fan of fabian using magic during sex/to (help) dom gorgug in my thistlerockcaster aus. using command or suggestion to make gorgug do what fabian and ragh want (USUALLY during sex, but sometimes gorgug likes them taking control outside of bed). relax. eat a little more. stay still. come take a walk with us. be quiet. sing that song you and fig are working on for us. cum. casting enhance ability on himself and/or ragh in order to make pinning gorgug easier, or casting it on gorgug to improve his dexterity (making him more flexible) fabian will occasionally do this to himself as well. putting gorgug under a zone of truth and making him talk about sexual fantasies/wet dreams he's had or tell ragh and fabian exactly what he wants them to do to him. casting silence to have a quickie on vacation without people hearing gorgug' moans. using sleep or catnap when gorgug REALLY needs to sleep but can't (insomnia) or won't (fomo bc fabian and ragh are staying up), so fabian cheats bc once gorgug falls asleep he stays asleep even when the spell ends if he's really tired.
