Kvasir's blood
Norsery Rhymes from A to Z Fjalarr, The Giant Rooster that Heralds Ragnarök Well here we are on another ThorsDay with another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic, sometimes Celtic) mythological characters. This week it’s a version of Fjalarr / Fjalar / Fialar. The Giant rooster mentioned in the Völuspá.
Fjalar translates to 'deceiver' or 'hider'. Though in this context was likely meant to indicate a time before something happens.
Fjalar spent it's time with Eggþér / Eggthér the happy giant who played his harp and raised Fenris pups.
Fjalar was said to lived in the Gallows Woods while Egther lived on the hill nearby.
