WE HAVE HIT THE 30 PAGE MARK WOOHOO!!! :DD Chapter 3 is officially longer now than Ch 1 and 2 combined, and more is about to come! The plot does not really have any moments where I feel like a "to be continued" end mark would fit. Also, 1/3 of the comic is now ready!!
In the third page, Keshet's line "Mazal bueno" is Ladino (Judeo-Spanish language of Sephardic people) for "good luck"! :) equivalent to Mazel Tov in Hebrew. Except used as a good luck wish for upcoming events, while Mazel Tov is a congratulation. Keshet and Efraín are the only Jewish people in the room, so I wanted it to also feel like a special moment of connection!
ALSO THANK GOODNESS I AM FINALLY FINISHED WITH THE PAGES OF THE STAFF ROOM MEETING. As fun as it was to draw the schoolteachers goofing around and interact, I was getting tired with tinkering with the pale purple/pink gradients of the bg and trying to get the other colors to be in harmony with them XD

First things first, Y E S for Chrom. The man singlehandedly makes me question my sexuality, he's just so *screams*
Arvis? Yeah, I get it! He's got both the villain swag and he's a loving husband!
Lyon is another lovely one for the opposite reason, man is just so sweet and... well, maybe not innocent, but that's also part of his charm.
Michalis isn't someone I particularly like but I get the appeal. His sister, on the other hand.. 👀 she's so cool and that armor is so beautiful!!
Fjalar? Ok, I'm really curious about that one since she has barely a character design and is only mentioned in the worldbuilding of Jugdral, so I wonder what drew you to her in particular! (No shaming, I'm genuinely curious)
Forest walk with Fjalar Bucky and my mom this weekend. Very fun alot easier to walk them together then I thought it would be. I have been walking them together alot more and am really enjoying it.😁🥰 Bucky has started being more distracted by people etc and thus pulling but we are working on it so I am not worried. Bucky and Fjalar are truly great friends now they are mainly kept apart to prevent Fjalar manically licking his ears at every opportunity. 🙃( He still has really dirty ears so I am being very cautious with them cleaning and keeping them dry to prevent another infection.)
Dogs got another bed in the kitchen my old babybed. Thus far Sansa is enjoying it the most.
Sansa has gotten alot more cuddly and seems to be back to her normal self again after her gi issues. She has slept both in bed with us for several nights but also in my bedroom entire nights which is not common for her anymore sadly. I remember when she slept every night under my duvet when we first got her🥲
Had my first day back dogsitting the galgo girls yesterday. Will go back to having them 4 days a week starting next week. I am super excited I have missed them so much and it felt to peaceful and right to be back in the woods with them. Bucky did great and got to do his first proper off lead running with friends.
Some dog owners from my last job has reached out and been very supportive and wondering what happened and why I left. My boss lied in her email basicly saying I left when she fired me but whatever. Some still want me for dogsitting which is really nice as I miss all the dogs so much😭 Other then that it has been a great relief to be free from that toxic place.
Norsery Rhymes from A to Z Eggþér, The Joyful Herdsman of Fenrir’s Children Well here we are on another ThorsDay with another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic, sometimes Celtic) mythological characters. This week it’s a second version of Eggþér (Eggthér / Eggther / Egdir) of the Jotnar (Jotun / Jotunn / Jetten / Eoten / Giant) mentioned in the Völuspá.
His name in Old Norse literally translated to ‘edge servant’ for the two parts of his name. Generally translated to mean ‘Holder of the sword’, or ‘the one who brings servants for a fight’, or ‘Servant armed with many knives’, and while some have translated that to mean he has servants armed with many knives, and other that he is a servant armed with many knives. Both of which can in fact be accurate at the same time.
Jolly Giant guardian of Angrboda the Giantess of the Járnviðr, the Iron Forest, or gallows wood. Which is where the idea of Eggther as a servant comes up.
He is also mentioned as a happy herdsman, joyfully playing his harp on a mound or cliff, with his friends, the the giant Red Cockerel Fjalar who will crow to signal the beginning of Ragnarok, and giant wolves who play and sleep around him.
Which is where the playful name of the giant herdsman is also something attributed to him, both as a literal mention of his herding of the giant wolves who are the offspring of Fenrir, but also playful nod about his guardianship of Angrboda.
Angrboda has been raising the giant wolves that Eggther herds during Fenrirs’ imprisonment. Which would make Eggther the herdman of the children of Fenrir.
Given his relation ship to both blades and Fjalar, there are some assert that this means he will also be a general in the time of Ragnarok herding the giants along in preparation and then in their fight against the gods. This interpretation adds a layer to his joyfull singing, as some have theorized that he may be singing of the battle to come.
Occasional attempts have made to link Eggther to Ecgþēow / Edgetho / Ecgtheow from Beowulf, have largely been set aside at this point, as Edgetho being a giant wouldn’t make much sense, and their personalities are the opposite of each others.
