It was supposed to be a cat hat but ended up looking a bit more like a mouse hat. Also, ears are hard. 🐁 🐈 ❤️ https://www.instagram.com/p/B8cmfXGnOrMIDwK1ltLE1O4pNqcJldjnu2baXU0/?igshid=42k14ptrsvdn

Yet another thing I made that’s slightly wonky. That’s how you can tell it’s homemade! 😆 https://www.instagram.com/p/B9KWs0On3kD3Cu8lmrkU0_4B9ve6BfVfcTc8Rw0/?igshid=faqw2llea87h
It's #fiberaury intro time, right? So, hi! I'm Connie, and I'm a crochet designer and teacher, a mom, a veteran, an Army wife, a small town girl from rural Arkansas, and most recently a spinner. I believe crochet is both a skill that can be learned like most hand crafts as well as an art. I love to play with color and I started designing because I had trouble following patterns - and now I can't stop! There are simply more ideas than I have the time and resources to realize. I do get bogged down with the finishing and polishing of patterns, though, which is why I've started sharing pattern previews with my Patrons over on Patreon! I also do informal tutorials on request and Patrons get first access. Some of my favorite moments as a teacher are when I get to see light bulbs going off when a student finally "gets" something! Is there a stitch or technique you'd like to see a video for? Let me know and I'll see what I can do! (Pattern is a forthcoming design with @tealtorchknits) #fiberaurychallenge https://www.instagram.com/p/B8C7sxFpH6Y/?igshid=fz45razswfqt
Still playing catch up here with #fiberuarychallenge Day 3: my first project. When I was about ten, my mother made me crochet THIS doily. Yes, she "made" me do it! I hated it. The worsted weight cotton yarn, the bright variegated colors (they're a bit faded now), the doily itself - I saw zero point to doilies! But I'm rather glad to still have it now. 😊 #fiberaury #myfirstproject #doily https://www.instagram.com/p/Btg2w1EFm7S/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1uep2xpeik9dt
