HELP IM FLARING AND I CANT FOCUS ON TREATMENT AHHH
shhh dont worry sweet summer child here is a checklist to follow
rest
massage
hot water
heat wrap/pad
topical oitment
TENS unit
CBD alternatives
oral medication
i suggest waiting 15 - 30 minutes between each option to see what worked best for you and then write it down!!!
I wish people would literally take 5 minutes to look up and confirm that there is no treatment and no help and little to no information in the first place about literally any given chronic illness let alone auto-immune ones
My favorite ambulatory wheelchair user experience is going to use my chair only to see one of the cats is laying on it
My least favorite experience is going to use my chair only to see literally anything else got thrown on it
“You’re using your diagnosis as an excuse to be lazy” Oh I’m glad you asked! Here’s my average step count from the past year with the month of diagnosis starred:
Identifying & Treating Trigger Point Pain
* while trigger points are no longer a Fibromyalgia diagnosis criteria, many patients still experience MTPs especially in the former 6 labeled points
Do you have muscle nodules that hurt all the time and radiate pain when pressed? These areas are myofascial trigger points (MTPs). Identifying and treating trigger point pain is essential for reigning in your discomfort. One or two MTPs cause regional pains in many people (such as tennis elbow or low back pain). But fibromyalgia patients are different. An AFSA-funded study shows you have lots of MTPs sprinkled throughout your body.
Where do you normally find MTPs?
typically reside in the belly of muscles
feel like a hard knot in a firm cord running the length of the muscle
an area where the muscle fibers are contracted and will not relax unless properly treated.
sometimes people are disabled to the point they cant do anything. sometimes a bitch is more disabled than you. thats fine youll catch up in a year or so stop fighting w each other.
