100 Named Arthurian Women #4: Belacane
Belacane, Queen of Zazamanc, first wife of Gahmuret the Angevin and mother of Feirefiz, from the poem Parzival by Wolfram von Eschenbach.
Not sure if this has been posted anywhere, but reading Gutenberg's version of Parzival includes the family trees for German Arthuriana (at least Wolfram's stream)! Most interesting to me is the lack of other Orkney (Or in this case, Norway) brothers, with Beacurs/Beaucorps possibly being an Agravaine variant. And this funny remark on the wiki;
Looking for a list of transgender or trans-coded Percival media. So far I have the camlann podcast and spear by Nicola Griffith. Apparently Parzival also has a trans-coded Parzival but I haven't yet found a translation I like of that one. Looking for more recs plz.
