Author Notes: this story was originally written for the Fall 2025 issue of the Klaine Fanzine (aka: Klaine Fanzine AU Series: Vol 1). it was exclusive to the fanzine for the first 6 weeks after publication release, and is now being added to AO3 for archive purposes. story was beta-read and formatted for the fanzine by @quizasvivamos under the cut below, are two never before shared photo manips which were originally submitted to the zine to accompany the story, but we later opted not to include them, so that an incredibly talented artist (Arden) could draw something amazing for the story instead. at this time, Arden's art is still a fanzine exclusive, so please download the FREE PDF of the zine if you'd like to see that.

Word Count Calendar

I finished writing the fic for the Klaine Fanzine!! and it's within the word count limit; I didn't go over! I even did all of my proofreading and editing today as well. the story has officially been submitted to the zine along with a few manip graphics that I made.

I want this story to be a zine exclusive for the first month or so after publication, so it won't appear on my AO3 page until January 2026. it's only been a few hours since it was submitted, but it just feels so weird to have a completed fic sitting in my fanfic folder without any intention of publishing to AO3 right away.

but now, let's hope this burst of writing motivation lasts, and I can finish the rest of that Florist!Kurt fic that's sitting in my WIP folder.

I am almost done! I added almost an entire page of writing to this story today, but I also did a lot of editing to other parts of it as well. looking at the story now, I'm pretty sure that I just have to write the end of this current scene. I think I will probably be finished with writing this fic tomorrow. then I'll just have to go back to proofread and do final edits before submitting :)

well...today was a bit of a rollercoaster, so I unfortunately didn't get a lot done on my WIP. (you can look at my previous post from this afternoon if you want to know what down). but I managed to do a few edits to the fic, and I added 3 more sentences. not what I was hoping to accomplish, but it's better than nothing.

I wrote a lot more than I thought I did today. I only managed to write approximately five paragraphs, but considering I thought I only managed two-ish paragraphs because I completely forgot I wrote a little bit much earlier in the day, I'm gonna say today was a good day.

I finished the scene I was working on yesterday, and I began the next one. so I'm now on the last (or second-to-last?) scene of this story. hopefully, what's left to write doesn't exceed 2k words, so that I don't go over max word limit for the zine guidelines. I don't think it will, but you never know with me, lol. if it does, I think I know a few places I can edit and trim, but I'll hold off on that for now.

I am nearly done with the current scene I'm on. then I can move on to the (potentially?) last scene. I just have to see whether or not I can fit everything I need into one more scene or if it needs to be broken up into two. guess that all depends on where my muse takes me. but I got a decent amount written today, despite all the IRL obligations I had to attend to today.
