Author Notes: this story was originally written for the Fall 2025 issue of the Klaine Fanzine (aka: Klaine Fanzine AU Series: Vol 1). it was exclusive to the fanzine for the first 6 weeks after publication release, and is now being added to AO3 for archive purposes. story was beta-read and formatted for the fanzine by @quizasvivamos under the cut below, are two never before shared photo manips which were originally submitted to the zine to accompany the story, but we later opted not to include them, so that an incredibly talented artist (Arden) could draw something amazing for the story instead. at this time, Arden's art is still a fanzine exclusive, so please download the FREE PDF of the zine if you'd like to see that.

Lucielle was born in the wrong body. When she did her coming out, her family rejected her and threw her out during a bad storm. Seeking shelter, she hid under a tree, unaware of the danger.
Naturally, she got struck by lightning. She got some serious scars on her back and shoulders but she survived.
Convinced that God specially meant to save her, Lucielle joined a Covent to show her devotion.
Sœur Tunesia was the one to welcome Lucielle when she first joined the Covent. They've been friends ever since, despite Tunesia being way too clingy for Lucielle's tastes.
Tunesia tends to the garden more often than the other sisters, she spends most of her time there, getting her hands dirty with grass and mud.
She has a crush on Lucielle and tries often to flirt with her. Unfortunately, Lucielle is way too oblivious and shy to notice anything.

I really liked this painting and was super excited to do it and then Things Just Kept Happening, lol. But I'm here at last! I actually really liked Gail, and super jealous Guillermo was amazing, and the prompt image immediately made me think of them three. Also how come whenever I draw multiple people in one image, they all look like they are drawn by different people? :P
