For La Douleur Exquis, is Jin really not her soulmate? Was it Yoongi instead cause it mentioned she had a soulmark? I really liked it! I'm just also confused ;;w;; sorry

omg no worries i def left a lot of things in that fic super vague LMAO SKFBSKFBDKFND basically, oc's soulmate is jin but his soulmate is someone else. which, in the lde universe, is very rare but does happen sometimes—bc i, personally, don't think a soulmate system would be completely perfect and therefore would have some people that don't just have a traditional soulmate. yoongi is also part of a super rare group of people that were born without a soulmate mark, so he doesn't have a soulmate and that's why him and oc have a thing—he likes her and doesn't have a soulmate to worry about, whereas oc has a soulmate who will never return her feelings, so she'll have to find comfort elsewhere

i just read your soulmate au “la douleur exquise” and oh my god i’m crying. (i’d like to mention i’ve read soulmate aus before and i’ve cried every single time (well not every single time)). i hope that if soulmates did exist we wouldn’t have to go through that pain. like imagine, the person you’re meant to spend your life with has a different souldmate! i would just about die

I only got to read that Jin soulmate au now and it literally made my heart wrench.. Agh unrequited love is just the worst. Props to you though for that angst adventure. Definitely an amazing read ♥️

Part 1/2. Ok so group review time cause I've been binge reading stuff I haven't read yet! La Douleur Exquise - SO GREAT. I'm a sucker for soulmate aus and angst so this was just the perfect amount of pain and pleasure. Oceans of Gold - You have no idea how much I love Greek mythology so imagining Hobi as Apollo is perfect. I think if I were to find myself in the same position as the reader I'd want to try and ease his pain as much as possible too.

nope, he won’t ever reciprocate her feelings! oc’s soulmate is jin but jin’s soulmate is hani, who also has the same soulmate mark he does.

so in the world i briefly touched upon in la douleur exquise, it’s not a 100% match of soulmates. there’s some very rare occasions where one person has a soulmate that has a different soulmate (bc i believe sometimes theres more than one soulmate out there for people!). and on another even rarer occasion, some people are born without a soulmate at all (aka yoongi, though it was only lightly implied)!

so oc and yoongi are both the very very very rare outliers, and thus jin will never feel the same toward oc as she does him! bc he has a soulmate match already that’s not her.
