He appreciated when things went smoothly and orderly, it satisfied the Order element inside him—the Luck element never got anything, so give him the other one at least, right? Tenna's wishy-washy schedules annoyed Battat to no end. He didn't mind when he would change his own plans, but he hated it when others neglected the plans they made together. If you asked Battat if he handled change well, he'd probably say he did, because his brain often needed a little spontaneity so he wouldn't get bored out of his mind, but in reality, he didn't handle change well at all.

Tenna felt his heart sink at those words; it was as he feared.

He wasn't a touchy-feely individual. Don't get him wrong, he liked touch from time to time, and it often turned his brain off or made his whole body feel weird, in a good way. But he mostly liked to keep to himself. He always felt weird sharing his feelings or being clingy. Whenever he was too vulnerable, it felt like he was opening his skull for everyone to look at and inspect. It felt like he was a bug in a jar being observed or a medical patient being dissected for science. He wasn't a gift-giver either, not necessarily. He never knew what to give someone, and every time he tried, it always felt hollow to him. He liked spending time with others as well, but he also needed his alone time.

"The first few times Battat met Friend didn't go great for him, to say the least.

Battat first saw the creature after walking home from a task Tenna had sent Mike on. He had been sleep-deprived and paranoid. That's when he heard it, a small scratching sound—like the scraping of a cat's claws on a hardwood door as it begged to be let in. After frantically turning around, spinning in a circle, fervently searching for the source of the sound, he came face to face with it. A shifting, amorphous amalgamation of darkness with a wide, haunting smile and heterochromic eyes. It disappeared shortly after Battat spotted it, screamed, and ran for his life. He didn't get a wink of sleep that night—which was not that uncommon for him at the time, but still wasn't great.

The second time wasn't much better, either, considering it sent both him and Ramb running for their lives. Safe to say, Battat had been utterly terrified of the creature from hell—because something so horrifying couldn't have come from anywhere but the depths of hell—ever since.

So, to say he was terrified right now was an understatement."

Thus, this lil oneshot is about how Ramb found a shadow crystal, got a little corrupted, and dragged Battat into his mess. Both Battat and Ramb het to learn a bit about the Horrors™ (Aka the Prophecy/Timeloop bc) through the shadow crystal before it disappears mysteriously in the night

"It is called Hypnosis!"
