I put Sapphire on FicitonPress and WattPad and only so far have about 120 or so views between the two and 1 kinda half assed review.
Ugh.
Where else could I post it? I’m tired of spamming social media to get attention.....

Fictionpress Reviews
I have mixed feelings about what I am about to write, as I don’t want to appear an ingrate to the few people who have reached out to me about my writing. But I am curious about why my writing seems to garner so few outward responses.
My first theory is that people simply never make it to the story. There are hundreds of thousands of posts on fictionpress.com, and it is completely understandable that some are just never seen. But as the numbers of people who are reading and visiting my fiction works increases, I find myself wondering why a novel I write can have 1 comment while another can have 150.
Maybe my stuff isn’t the type of content people are used to. Maybe they don’t know how to react. Maybe they genuinely dislike it. Maybe since I write about introverts, it attracts introverts, and introverts may not want to make their feelings known. I identify on a near spiritual level with that.
I’ve always liked getting feedback, constructive or not, ever since I was int he writing club in high school. And maybe it’s just me, but I feel as writers, we should encourage others who are putting their creations out for the world to see. Putting our little fiction/non-fiction/poetry/script babies out there for other people to read can be scary, and encouragement from other writers can be very reassuring.
Or maybe I’m just bitter. Who knows :)
