im not going to front with you it changed my entire life and hiw i view juanki with regard to sincaraz… like Woah……

i've been so rushed since the uso sfs that i still haven't had the chance to fully integrate this into my mind palace. but my general reaction is, OH BOY. this is one of the joys inherent in watching a sports rpf ship develop in real time. one comment that turns everything you thought you knew on your head!

(it's what makes reading e.g. early fedal fun. seeing how the dynamic was extrapolated from a relatively limited data set. double-edged example bc the fedal endgame is now itself a data point for extrapolating sincaraz. sorry we are WAY off track here.)

anyway as for the content of this reveal. every day i'm more and more convinced that the fic this fandom most needs is a really detailed and opaque 16th century political au. generations of castilian-valencian-catalan-aragonese conflict overshadowing every footstep. is it an alliance. is it a saw trap. does it matter with france sinking trade ships and invading the low countries. carlos handpicked to shore up internal power as much as to lead external alliances. the savoyards have sided with france, but word has it that the ducal heir has ties to the county of tyrol which is still held by the holy roman empire. word also has it that the heir's newest advisor fought his way up from the plague-ridden streets of a bologna in decline.
