Thankful — a Kinda Like Family, Kinda Like Love timestamp
For those of you who follow my Destiel fic Kinda Like Family, Kinda Like Love, here is a preview of the first timestamp. 😊 Posting soon on AO3!
Dean Milton is a thankful man. He’s thankful for his beautiful twin boys, Jamie and Robbie. He’s thankful for his awesome job as a Kindergarten teacher and his even more awesome coworkers, many of whom he counts as friends. He’s thankful for his huge, incredibly supportive and tight-knit family. And of course, he’s thankful for his husband Cas, the love of his life, who stuck by him while he figured out his sexuality and his Daddy issues.
What he’s not thankful for is that his beloved husband has discovered cooking magazines. And television shows. And websites. Because now his husband is fretting over having the “perfect” Thanksgiving, which they’re hosting for the first time.

"That’s not going to get you very far."
Realizing that the voice is for her, she turns back to find Gale Hawthorne heaving the largest turkey from the pile (with great ease, she notes) into his cart.
"Pardon?" she says meekly, eyeing the bird he lugs with appreciation—it is quite obviously meant to feed many more mouths than hers is.
"Your bird," he replies as he unfolds his shopping list and looks it over. "It’s probably good for two, three at most."
Madge pulls her shopping bag closer to her side and feels the icy coolness of her turkey against her side. “Maybe that’s all I need.”
Gale looks amused at that. He stuffs his list back into his pocket and starts walking forward with his cart to move out of the way for another shopper looking for their Thanksgiving dinner. “Just you and that boyfriend of yours? I thought you’d be cooking for his family.”
The blonde’s brow furrows. “What made you think that?” He seems taken aback for a split second before she adds, “And anyway, we broke up.”
"Huh." It’s all he says, and like most everything he does, it frustrates her.
Rolling her eyes, she starts to inch away from him, feeling self-conscious and uneasy around him. “Yes. Well. This turkey will be more than enough for me on my own so you have nothing to worry about. Goodbye, Gale.”
thanksgiving!gadge fic preview because yes this is in the works and if i post this, it means i have to finish it and get it up
while i'm at a standstill with the yoga fic, i am so, SO excited about a new one that's (so far) progressing quite nicely. let's just say it's based on this image... and i'm really happy with the 1402 words i have so far.
yoga fic preview no. 1
When Katniss said she had a friend who could stand to take one of her classes as a joke, Madge hadn’t hesitated to encourage her to bring her friend one Sunday. She hadn’t expected him to be so… manly. Or male.
She suspected that he really had no say in it, that Katniss hadn’t so much as brought him along but dragged him, because the look on the poor guy’s face when he walked through her doors looked to be one of absolute resentment. The scowl on his face seemed almost to be carved right into his dark features and the language of his very tall and very masculine body screamed something of resistance.
Madge watched curiously as Katniss rolled out her mat and told him to do the same. Her friend looked defiant, with his lean, muscular arms crossed in front of his chest, but with Katniss’ light green yoga mat slung over his shoulder, it looked a little too silly for Madge and she giggled lightly at the scene. The man must have heard her, because his eyes cut to where she was sitting on her own mat facing them. He looked away quickly, glancing back to Katniss and groaning before he eventually dumped his borrowed mat on the ground and sat slumped on top of it once he unrolled it flat.
well, this is just upsettingly bad and i will probably drastically change the whole story before i post the entire thing but maybe some feedback could help. what would you guys wanna see from gadge yoga fic (lol)?
