FICTAP Partylist #117 Pushes For Free Public WIFI Nationwide!
Election Day is just a few days away so the pressure is really on for candidates to push on their platforms. FICTAP Partylist is seeing this need to push forward by tapping any organization and media outfits to promote their vision for the country so they held a small blogger’s conference was held yesterday at Max Restaurant in Malate Manila
FICTAP (Federation of International Cable TV and Telecommunications Association of the Philippines) is the largest non- profit organization of Cable TV operators with over 1,000 members. FICTAP aims on improving Cable TV experience and WIFI connection all over the county. Furthermore, the organization is known as the staunch defender of the Filipino consumers battling irregularities made by huge telco and cable companies.
FICTAP’s main agenda is to improve the Free Public WIFI Act, giving every Filipinos decent access to the internet. WIFI is now a necessity that needs to be address and through FICTAP’s experience they can make it happen. They also wanted to focus on the Cellphone Users’ Act, Custom Sim Card Act, Freelancer Rights and to strengthen the Anti- Catfish Law. FICTAP is one of the few partylist that focuses on what the future might bring and we need to act upon it accordingly by electing people who understands and believes in the power of technology.
