Warriors: Three of the four elements are represented as types of hockey. Air hockey, ice hockey, and field hockey. Fire hockey needs to be a thing.
Blue: Fire hockey absolutely does NOT need to be a thing.
Wind: Do you care NOTHING for the balance of the four elements?!
Out of the whole chain I'd think Wild would be the only one that reeaally doesn't want a marked grave. Last time he died he was resurrected and told to go clean up his 100 year old mess he left behind.
Wind's a sailor at heart. Buried at sea is probably normal talk.
Hey, so thoughts about how Wind's personality is portrayed in both the fandom and the actual LU comic. (Ft. Snarky/angry teenager Wind lol)
So, of what I have seen most (fandom and the comic), Wind is portrayed as energetic, happy-go-lucky and generally kind. Although in the comic, we can see he does get angry on behalf of what he believes about the king of Hyrule and the future (featuring his optimism which is a trait he has in most works), and also when the other Links underestimate him and about general well-being of others.
Yep, he is a pretty well-rounded character in the LU comic (thank you Jojo). Though I do wish we could see another more flawed side of him that involves more selfish-esc reasons (not reasons in which he is justified to get angry and such. But, that can still happen sometime. Even if doesn't, I still do really like the og Wind as one might say, I rest my case.
Can't say the same for some major parts of the fandom. If you have seen what I reblogged here before, you know my opinion about that. I get that Wind is definitely not amongst the most popular Links, but sometimes I get very sad with how some people portray him. Which is basically the happy-go-lucky, energetic kid without the stuff I said before that happened in Jojo's comic.
Like, I do know that these traits are what make Wind, Wind, but he's not all the time like that. For God's sake, he is 14, have you known any? They can be assholes sometimes, for absolutely no reason. 'Cause that is just part of growing up too, when you are in early puberty it's even harder to not get angry and scream at people for a multitude of reasons.
Maybe when Wind was 11-12, he was most like what people portray him as, but they literally took away 3 to 2 years of experience and maturity from him (I know it seems too little, but at teenagehood these numbers matter a lot more than when you are an adult). Yes, Wind is still technically a child, not even an older teenager, but the thing is, he ain't a normal 14-year-old either. He can be very serious a lot of the time, and also he is not emotionally immature, there's a lot of times he will be the most level-headed than a lot of the older Links.
And important, he was and is a big brother first, don't take that away from him please.
Let Wind be so annoying and irritating some days that a lot of the other Links will not even want to talk to him. Let him be selfish sometimes. Let him jab the others with harsh words that he will have to apologize for later (if he even recognizes his mistake, which depending on the situation, can take some time. Boy can stubborn for good and bad things). Let him be brutally honest to contrast his general easy-going attitude.
Yeah, Wind is optimistic and he can be a very kind and cute kid, but he's still a teenager going through a lot. He's bound to be rebellious and nitpicky a lot of the times.
Anyways, thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Though, of course you don't have to agree with me. This is just my opinion. But, I will say, a lot of teenagers don't act all cute and selfless most of the time.
Wind is definitely out of the norm for teenagers lol
A one-shot for Joyful June Week 2 (Comfort). Written for a sprint on @linked-universe-discord.
First finds more than one kind of comfort.

Link jerks awake and for a moment he's disoriented. His weight is balanced wrong. The wall at his back feels… different.
It takes a moment for him to realise that he's lying down. He's no longer standing chained against a wall, weight resting on shackles around his wrists and the stone at his back.
He's lying down. On a soft bedroll, a blanket laid over him.
He gasps, tasting the soft night air, and finds there are tears wet on his cheeks and trickling into his ears.
"First?" says a quiet young voice.
He opens his eyes with another gasp. Wind was evidently on guard and now he's kneeling beside Link's bedroll, just outside arm's reach.
"Are you all right? Was it a nightmare?"
Link winces internally with a stab of shame. The boy shouldn't be comforting him; he should be the one offering that, though he's never been good with children.
Wind settles back on his heels. "You don't have to tell me," he says. "But perhaps I can help a bit." He smiles faintly. "Between you and me, you're not the first one I've talked to when they've had a nightmare."
Link sighs again, his eyes travelling to the sky in front of him, filled with a thousand stars. Open. Free.
"It… was no nightmare, young one," he says quietly. "Not that woke me. I… do not think these are tears of sadness."
Wind tilts his head curiously.
"Will you look at the sky with me?"
"Well… I'm supposed to be on watch, but sure, I can watch from there for a bit." Without further ado, Wind lies down beside him. Link raises his arm, moving willingly to accommodate the warm body pressing against his side, rather than having it forced into position and held with a chain.
"Thank you," he says. "I'm… sure I will sleep again before long."
Wind nods. "I guess the stars are different in this era? Sky said they'd changed compared to his, and you're even older."
Link nods sadly.
"Well, I can see some constellations I recognise. Shall I tell you their stories?"
Link tilts his head to look at him, surprised. "I… would like that very much. Thank you."
Wind nods briskly and starts to speak, tracing shapes in the sky with a finger. Link doesn't really listen, letting the boy's voice wash over him, feeling the soft support under his back and the friendly, warm weight against his side, tasting the free air, gazing at the open sky.
And if more tears of relief and delight run from his eyes, neither of them comment.
Imagine Wind has the ability to fly and flies like Peter Pan.
He never flies, just uses his Deku Leaf because it’s a gift and he doesn’t want it collect dust but when a situation comes were he can’t use it to jump off a cliff and escape or he’s cornered and can’t roll under the enemy, he just flies like Peter Pan confusing both the enemy and the chain.
Addition, Wind can make the others fly to with the help of Hyrule who is a fairy. He can make something similar to pixie dust that gives them the ability to fly combined with the faith and trust you need to fly. Wind doesn’t need the pixie dust because he has the Windwaker/blessings from the Wind Gods and like Peter Pan, he learned to fly from seagulls from both watching and being one so he only really needs to guide the others when they can fly.
Basically, Wind is Peter Pan, Hyrule is Tinker Bell, Legend is probably Wendy, and the rest are the sibling or the lost boys.
Correct me if I’m wrong on the Peter Pan stuff, it’s been a hot minute.
