Proving a "fictional" theory
There's this theory from a tv show. It defines time. It has no real explanation, so I decided to break it down, and try to make sense of it.
I will start with a line. A simple, one-dimensional line. You get that line, let's say that line is blue, more specifically 0, 0, 255 on the RGB scale. then there is another line, let's make it 5.7, 183.9274, 58.29. Totally plausible colour, it turns out to be a pretty beautiful green with a touch of grey. These two lines are next to each other. They have no width, no depth. Just one dimension.
You keep on adding lines, infinitely adding lines until you get a square. Assuming this process is possible, you now have a perfectly grey square. made up of an infinite number of lines. You can replicate this, adding another dimension. Having a square, with a length of x, a width of x, and a depth of 0. You add coloured square upon coloured square until you get this grey cube. For visual purposes, again, we are assuming this is possible.
So I think you get how this works, now. Any of you folks that have heard of the 4th dimension might be able to picture what happens next. Actually, I seriously doubt you can. If you can, that's great.
For this next paragraph, I'm not going to get a cube and put it next to another cube in the 4th dimension because that's just too complicated. What I'm actually going to do, is ask you to imagine the universe as a single two-dimensional sheet. The universe, right as it is now. Or maybe even as it was at some point in the past, maybe even the future.
So you are picturing your universe? Good. Now, create another universe, not necessarily THIS universe, but a completely random assortment of particles. Now, another random assortment of particles. And another. If this is done infinitely, at some other point, eventually, you will come across a universe that is the same universe as the first, but at a point in time directly after. Imagine continuing this forever,
Now you have this infinite wibbly, wobbly, grey, infinite, timeless, ball. It is unchanging, and random. Yet it has so much inside of it. You can take one of the sheets, and put it next to the sheet chronologically after it. You can even make a whole minute of time, a whole hour, a whole day, a whole 4.3 billion years even!
So what I'm saying is, my theory is that the universe is a bunch of sheets, and some of the sheets line up with each other in a logical way. And since we are sentient organisms, all those sheets seem to be right next to each other, despite the fact that all the sheets are just a completely random set of particles.
In conclusion...
"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect. But actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey, wimey...
